Hitamapi ca bahujanasukhañca acari.
and lived for the welfare and happiness of the people.
สคฺเค เวทยติ นโร สุผลานิ✎ ร่าง
Sagge vedayati naro sukhapphalāni,
Having done what’s praised by the clever, the wise, and the good,
กริตฺวา นิปุเณภิ วิทูภิ สพฺภิ✎ ร่าง
Karitvā nipuṇebhi vidūhi sabbhi;
that man experienced the fruit in heaven.
วณฺณิตานิ ติทิวปุรวรสโม✎ ร่าง
Vaṇṇitāni tidivapuravarasamo,
Equal to the best in the Third Heaven,
อภิรมติ รติขิฑฺฑาสมงฺคี ฯ

Abhiramati ratikhiḍḍāsamaṅgī.
he enjoyed himself with pleasure and play.

สุจิปริวาโร

Suciparivāro mahatiṁ mahiṁ anusāsato;
when he rules having conquered this earth so broad.

Pasayha na ca janapadatudanaṁ,
They won’t harm the country,
หิตมปิ จ พหุชนสุขํ ๔- จรนฺติ✎ ร่าง
Hitamapi ca bahujanasukhañca caranti.
but will live for the welfare and happiness of the people.
อถ เจ ปพฺพชติ ภวติ วิปาโป✎ ร่าง
Atha ce pabbajati bhavati vipāpo,
But if he goes forth he’ll be an ascetic free of ill,
สมโณ สมิตรโช วิวฏจฺฉโท✎ ร่าง
Samaṇo samitarajo vivaṭṭacchado;
his passions quelled, the veil cast off.
วิคตทรถกิลมโถ✎ ร่าง
Vigatadarathakilamatho,
Rid of stress and weariness,
อิมํปิ จ
ปรํปิ ปรมํปิ จ ปสฺสติ โลกํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Imamapi ca paramapi ca passati lokaṁ.
he sees this world and the next.
ตสฺโสวาทกรา พหุคิหี จ
ปพฺพชิตา จ✎ ร่าง
Tassovādakarā bahugihī ca pabbajitā ca,
Those who do his bidding, both lay and renunciate,
อสุจิ วิครหิตปนุทิปาปสฺ✎ ร่าง
Asuciṁ garahitaṁ dhunanti pāpaṁ;
shake off wickedness, impure and blameworthy.
ส ๕-
หิ สุจีภิ ๖- ปริวุโต
ภวติ✎ ร่าง
Sa hi sucibhi parivuto bhavati,
He’s surrounded by pure people, who cast aside
มลขิลกลิกิเลเสปนุเทภีติ ๗- ฯ✎ ร่าง
Malakhilakalikilese panudehī”ti.
stains, callousness, sin, and corruptions.’”
อิทมโวจ ภควา ฯ✎ ร่าง
Idamavoca bhagavā.
That is what the Buddha said.
อตฺตมนา เต ภิกฺขู ภควโต ภาสิตํ อภินนฺทุนฺติ ๘- ฯ✎ ร่าง
Attamanā te bhikkhū bhagavato bhāsitaṁ abhinandunti.
Satisfied, the mendicants approved what the Buddha said.
