Evaṁ vutte, āyasmā udāyī bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:
เมื่อพระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสอย่างนี้แล้ว ท่านพระอุทายีได้กราบทูลว่า🤖 AI จับคู่
When he had spoken, Venerable Udāyī said to the Buddha,

อจฺฉริยํ
ภนฺเต อพฺภุตํ ภนฺเต ตถาคตสฺส อปฺปิจฺฉตา สนฺตุฏฺฐิตา สลฺเลขตา✎ ร่าง
“acchariyaṁ, bhante, abbhutaṁ, bhante, tathāgatassa appicchatā santuṭṭhitā sallekhatā.
ข้าแต่พระองค์ผู้เจริญ น่าอัศจรรย์นัก ไม่เคยมีมา ความมักน้อย ความสันโดษ ความขัดเกลา มีอยู่แก่พระตถาคตผู้ทรงมีฤทธิ์มีอานุภาพมากอย่างนี้ แต่ไม่ทรงแสดงพระองค์ให้ปรากฏ🤖 AI จับคู่
“It’s incredible, sir, it’s amazing! The Realized One has so few wishes, such contentment, such self-effacement!
ยตฺร หิ นาม ตถาคโต เอวํมหิทฺธิโก เอวํมหานุภาโว อถ จ ปน เนว
อตฺตานํ ปาตุกริสฺสติ✎ ร่าง
Yatra hi nāma tathāgato evaṁmahiddhiko evaṁmahānubhāvo, atha ca pana nevattānaṁ pātukarissati.
For even though the Realized One has such power and might, he will not make a display of himself.
เอกเมกญฺจปิ อิโต ภนฺเต ธมฺมํ อญฺญติตฺถิยา
ปริพฺพาชกา อตฺตนิ สมนุปสฺเสยฺยุํ เต ตาวตเกเนว ปฏากํ
ปริหเรยฺยุํ✎ ร่าง
Ekamekañcepi ito, bhante, dhammaṁ aññatitthiyā paribbājakā attani samanupasseyyuṁ, te tāvatakeneva paṭākaṁ parihareyyuṁ.
If the wanderers following other religions were to see even a single one of these qualities in themselves they’d carry around a banner to that effect.
อจฺฉริยํ ภนฺเต อพฺภุตํ ภนฺเต ตถาคตสฺส อปฺปิจฺฉตา
สนฺตุฏฺฐิตา สลฺเลขตา✎ ร่าง
Acchariyaṁ, bhante, abbhutaṁ, bhante, tathāgatassa appicchatā santuṭṭhitā sallekhatā.
It’s incredible, sir, it’s amazing! The Realized One has so few wishes, such contentment, such self-effacement!
ยตฺร หิ นาม ตถาคโต เอวํมหิทฺธิโก
เอวํมหานุภาโว อถ จ ปน เนว อตฺตานํ ปาตุกริสฺสตีติ ฯ✎ ร่าง

ดูกรอุทายี เธอจงดูความมักน้อย ความสันโดษ ความขัดเกลาของตถาคต ผู้มีฤทธิ์มีอานุภาพมากอย่างนี้ แต่ไม่แสดงตนให้ปรากฏ เพราะเหตุนั้นถ้าพวกอัญญเดียรถีย์ปริพาชก ได้เห็นธรรมแม้สักข้อหนึ่งจากธรรมของเรานี้ในตนแล้ว พวกเขาจะต้องยกธงเที่ยวประกาศ ด้วยเหตุเพียงเท่านั้น🤖 AI จับคู่

ครั้งนั้นแล พระผู้มีพระภาค ตรัสกะท่านพระสารีบุตรว่า เพราะเหตุนั้นแล สารีบุตร เธอพึงกล่าวธรรมปริยายนี้เนืองๆ แก่ภิกษุ ภิกษุณี อุบาสก อุบาสิกาทั้งหลายในธรรมวินัยนี้🤖 AI จับคู่
Then the Buddha said to Venerable Sāriputta,

“Tasmātiha tvaṁ, sāriputta, imaṁ dhammapariyāyaṁ abhikkhaṇaṁ bhāseyyāsi bhikkhūnaṁ bhikkhunīnaṁ upāsakānaṁ upāsikānaṁ.
“So Sāriputta, you should frequently speak this exposition of the teaching to the monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen.
เยสํปิ หิ สารีปุตฺต โมฆปุริสานํ
ภวิสฺสติ ตถาคเต กงฺขา วา วิมติ วา เตสํปีมํ ๒- ธมฺมปริยายํ สุตฺวา
ตถาคเต ๓- กงฺขา วา วิมติ วา สา ปหียิสฺสตีติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Yesampi hi, sāriputta, moghapurisānaṁ bhavissati tathāgate kaṅkhā vā vimati vā, tesamimaṁ dhammapariyāyaṁ sutvā tathāgate kaṅkhā vā vimati vā, sā pahīyissatī”ti.
ดูกรสารีบุตรความสงสัยหรือความเคลือบแคลงในตถาคตซึ่งจักยังมีอยู่บ้างแก่โมฆบุรุษทั้งหลาย พวกเขาจักละเสียได้ เพราะได้ฟังธรรมปริยายนี้🤖 AI จับคู่
Though there will be some futile people who have doubt or uncertainty regarding the Realized One, when they hear this exposition of the teaching they’ll give up that doubt or uncertainty.”
อิติ หิทํ อายสฺมา

That’s how Venerable Sāriputta declared his confidence in the Buddha’s presence.
ตสฺมา อิมสฺส
เวยฺยากรณสฺส สมฺปสาทนียนฺเตฺวว อธิวจนนฺติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Tasmā imassa veyyākaraṇassa sampasādanīyantveva adhivacananti.
เพราะฉะนั้น คำไวยากรณ์นี้ จึงมีชื่อว่า สัมปสาทนียะ ดังนี้แล🤖 AI จับคู่
And that’s why the name of this discussion is “Inspiring Confidence”.
สมฺปสาทนียสุตฺตํ นิฏฺฐิตํ ปญฺจมํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Sampasādanīyasuttaṁ niṭṭhitaṁ pañcamaṁ.

So evamassa vacanīyo:
You should say this to them,

‘tassa te, āvuso, lābhā, tassa te suladdhaṁ,
‘You’re fortunate, reverend, you’re so very fortunate!
—
Sukhallikānuyogā hi bahū anekavihitā nānappakārakā’ti.
For there are many different kinds of indulgence in pleasure.’

Idaṁ catutthaṁ phalaṁ catuttho ānisaṁso.
This is the fourth fruit and benefit.
