[๒๙๙] ดูกรสันทกะ อีกประการหนึ่ง ศาสดาบางคนในโลกมีปกติกล่าวอย่างนี้
มีความเห็นอย่างนี้ว่า ไม่มีเหตุ ไม่มีปัจจัย เพื่อความเศร้าหมองแห่งสัตว์ทั้งหลาย สัตว์ทั้งหลาย
หาเหตุหาปัจจัยมิได้ ย่อมเศร้าหมองเอง ไม่มีเหตุ ไม่มีปัจจัย เพื่อความบริสุทธิ์แห่งสัตว์ทั้งหลาย
สัตว์ทั้งหลายหาเหตุหาปัจจัยมิได้ ย่อมบริสุทธิ์เอง ไม่มีกำลัง ไม่มีความเพียร ไม่มีเรี่ยวแรง
ของบุรุษ ไม่มีความบากบั่นของบุรุษ สัตว์ทั้งปวง ปาณะทั้งปวง ภูตะทั้งปวง ชีวะทั้งปวง
ล้วนไม่มีอำนาจ ไม่มีกำลัง ไม่มีความเพียร แปรไปตามเคราะห์ดีเคราะห์ร้าย ตามความประจวบ
ตามความเป็นเอง ย่อมเสวยสุขเสวยทุกข์ในอภิชาติทั้งหกเท่านั้น ดังนี้.

ปุน จปรํ สนฺทก อิเธกจฺโจ สตฺถา เอวํวาที โหติ
เอวํทิฏฺฐี✎ ร่าง
Puna caparaṁ, sandaka, idhekacco satthā evaṁvādī hoti evaṁdiṭṭhi:
Furthermore, take a certain teacher who has this doctrine and view:

นตฺถิ เหตุ นตฺถิ ปจฺจโย สตฺตานํ สงฺกิเลสาย✎ ร่าง
‘natthi hetu, natthi paccayo sattānaṁ saṅkilesāya;
‘There is no cause or reason for the corruption of sentient beings.
อเหตู
อปฺปจฺจยา สตฺตา สงฺกิลิสฺสนฺติ✎ ร่าง
ahetū appaccayā sattā saṅkilissanti;
Sentient beings are corrupted without cause or reason.
นตฺถิ เหตุ นตฺถิ ปจฺจโย สตฺตานํ
วิสุทฺธิยา✎ ร่าง
natthi hetu, natthi paccayo sattānaṁ visuddhiyā;
There’s no cause or reason for the purification of sentient beings.
อเหตู อปฺปจฺจยา สตฺตา วิสุชฺฌนฺติ✎ ร่าง
ahetū appaccayā sattā visujjhanti;
Sentient beings are purified without cause or reason.
นตฺถิ พลํ

นตฺถิ วิริยํ นตฺถิ ปุริสถาโม นตฺถิ ปุริสปรกฺกโม✎ ร่าง
natthi balaṁ, natthi vīriyaṁ, natthi purisathāmo, natthi purisaparakkamo;
There is no power, no energy, no human strength or vigor.
สพฺเพ สตฺตา
สพฺเพ ปาณา สพฺเพ ภูตา สพฺเพ ชีวา อวสา อพลา อวิริยา
นิยติสงฺคติภาวปริณตา ฉเสฺววาภิชาตีสุ สุขทุกฺขํ ปฏิสํเวเทนฺตีติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
sabbe sattā sabbe pāṇā sabbe bhūtā sabbe jīvā avasā abalā avīriyā niyatisaṅgatibhāvapariṇatā chasvevābhijātīsu sukhadukkhaṁ paṭisaṁvedentī’ti.
All sentient beings, all living creatures, all beings, all souls lack control, power, and energy. Molded by destiny, circumstance, and nature, they experience pleasure and pain in the six classes of rebirth.’
