[๖๐๑] ครั้งนั้นแล พรหมายุพราหมณ์ทราบว่าพระผู้มีพระภาคทรงรับอาราธนาแล้ว
จึงลุกจากที่นั่ง ถวายบังคมพระผู้มีพระภาคทำประทักษิณแล้วหลีกไป. ครั้งนั้นพรหมายุพราหมณ์
ได้สั่งให้ตกแต่งขาทนียโภชนียาหารอย่างประณีตในนิเวศน์ของตนตลอดคืนยันรุ่ง แล้วใช้คนให้
ไปกราบทูลเวลาภัตกาลแด่พระผู้มีพระภาคว่า ข้าแต่พระโคดมผู้เจริญ ถึงเวลาแล้ว พระเจ้าข้า
ภัตตาหารสำเร็จแล้ว. ครั้งนั้นเป็นเวลาเช้า พระผู้มีพระภาคทรงครองอันตรวาสกแล้ว ทรงถือ
บาตรและจีวรเสด็จเข้าไปยังนิเวศน์ของพรหมายุพราหมณ์ แล้วประทับนั่งบนอาสนะที่เขาจัดไว้
พร้อมด้วยภิกษุสงฆ์. ลำดับนั้น พรหมายุพราหมณ์ได้อังคาสภิกษุสงฆ์มีพระพุทธเจ้าเป็นประมุข
ให้อิ่มหนำเพียงพอด้วยขาทนียโภชนียาหารอันประณีตด้วยมือของตนตลอด ๗ วัน. ครั้งนั้น
พอล่วง ๗ วันนั้นไป พระผู้มีพระภาคเสด็จจาริกไปในวิเทหชนบท.

อถ โข พฺรหฺมายุ พฺราหฺมโณ ภควโต อธิวาสนํ
วิทิตฺวา อุฏฺฐายาสนา ภควนฺตํ อภิวาเทตฺวา ปทกฺขิณํ กตฺวา

Atha kho brahmāyu brāhmaṇo bhagavato adhivāsanaṁ viditvā uṭṭhāyāsanā bhagavantaṁ abhivādetvā padakkhiṇaṁ katvā pakkāmi.
Then, knowing that the Buddha had consented, Brahmāyu rose from his seat, bowed, and respectfully circled the Buddha, keeping him on his right, before leaving.
อถ โข พฺรหฺมายุ พฺราหฺมโณ ตสฺสา รตฺติยา
อจฺจเยน สเก นิเวสเน ปณีตํ ขาทนียํ โภชนียํ ปฏิยาทาเปตฺวา
ภควโต กาลํ อาโรจาเปสิ✎ ร่าง
Atha kho brahmāyu brāhmaṇo tassā rattiyā accayena sake nivesane paṇītaṁ khādanīyaṁ bhojanīyaṁ paṭiyādāpetvā bhagavato kālaṁ ārocāpesi:
And when the night had passed Brahmāyu had delicious fresh and cooked foods prepared in his own home. Then he had the Buddha informed of the time, saying,
กาโล โข ๑- โภ โคตม นิฏฺฐิตํ
ภตฺตนฺติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
“kālo, bho gotama, niṭṭhitaṁ bhattan”ti.
“It’s time, worthy Gotama, the meal is ready.”
อถ โข ภควา ปุพฺพณฺหสมยํ นิวาเสตฺวา
ปตฺตจีวรมาทาย เยน พฺรหฺมายุสฺส พฺราหฺมณสฺส นิเวสนํ
เตนุปสงฺกมิ อุปสงฺกมิตฺวา ปญฺญตฺเต อาสเน นิสีทิ สทฺธึ
ภิกฺขุสงฺเฆน ฯ✎ ร่าง
Atha kho bhagavā pubbaṇhasamayaṁ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya yena brahmāyussa brāhmaṇassa nivesanaṁ tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā paññatte āsane nisīdi saddhiṁ bhikkhusaṅghena.
Then the Buddha robed up in the morning and, taking his bowl and robe, went to the home of the brahmin Brahmāyu, where he sat on the seat spread out, together with the Saṅgha of mendicants.

ภิกฺขุสงฺฆํ ปณีเตน ขาทนีเยน โภชนีเยน สหตฺถา สนฺตปฺเปสิ
สมฺปวาเรสิ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Atha kho brahmāyu brāhmaṇo sattāhaṁ buddhappamukhaṁ bhikkhusaṅghaṁ paṇītena khādanīyena bhojanīyena sahatthā santappesi sampavāresi.
For seven days, Brahmāyu served and satisfied the mendicant Saṅgha headed by the Buddha with his own hands with delicious fresh and cooked foods.
อถ โข ภควา ตสฺส สตฺตาหสฺส อจฺจเยน วิเทเหสุ
จาริกํ ปกฺกามิ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Atha kho bhagavā tassa sattāhassa accayena videhesu cārikaṁ pakkāmi.
When the seven days had passed, the Buddha left to wander in the Videhan lands.
