สุขิโน วต อรหนฺโต✎ ร่าง
“Sukhino vata arahanto,
“Oh! How happy are the perfected ones!
ตณฺหา เตสํ น วิชฺชติ✎ ร่าง
taṇhā tesaṁ na vijjati;
Craving is not found in them,
อสฺมิมาโน สมุจฺฉินฺโน✎ ร่าง
Asmimāno samucchinno,
the conceit ‘I am’ is cut off,
โมหชาลํ ปทาลิตํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
mohajālaṁ padālitaṁ.
and the net of delusion is shattered.
อเนชนฺเต ๑- อนุปฺปตฺตา✎ ร่าง
Anejaṁ te anuppattā,
They’ve attained imperturbability,

จิตฺตํ เตสํ อนาวิลํ✎ ร่าง
cittaṁ tesaṁ anāvilaṁ;
their minds are unclouded,
โลเก อนุปลิตฺตา เต✎ ร่าง
Loke anupalittā te,
nothing in the world clings to them,
พฺรหฺมภูตา อนาสวา ฯ✎ ร่าง
brahmabhūtā anāsavā.
manifesting divinity, undefiled.
ปญฺจกฺขนฺเธ ปริญฺญาย✎ ร่าง
Pañcakkhandhe pariññāya,
Completely understanding the five aggregates,

สตฺตสทฺธมฺมโคจรา✎ ร่าง
satta saddhammagocarā;
their domain is the seven good qualities.
ปสํสิยา สปฺปุริสา✎ ร่าง
Pasaṁsiyā sappurisā,
Those true persons are praiseworthy,
ปุตฺตา พุทฺธสฺส โอรสา ฯ✎ ร่าง
puttā buddhassa orasā.
the Buddha’s true-born sons.
สตฺตรตนสมฺปนฺนา✎ ร่าง
Sattaratanasampannā,
Endowed with the seven gems,
ตีสุ สิกฺขาสุ สิกฺขิตา✎ ร่าง
Tīsu sikkhāsu sikkhitā;
and trained in the three trainings,
อนุวิจรนฺติ มหาวีรา✎ ร่าง
Anuvicaranti mahāvīrā,
the great heroes live on,
ปหีนภยเภรวา ฯ✎ ร่าง
Pahīnabhayabheravā.
with fear and dread given up.
ทสหงฺเคหิ สมฺปนฺนา✎ ร่าง
Dasahaṅgehi sampannā,
Endowed with ten factors,
มหานาคา สมาหิตา✎ ร่าง
mahānāgā samāhitā;
those giants are immersed in samādhi.
เอเต โข เสฏฺฐา โลกสฺมึ✎ ร่าง
Ete kho seṭṭhā lokasmiṁ,
They are the best in the world,
ตณฺหา เตสํ น วิชฺชติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
taṇhā tesaṁ na vijjati.
craving is not found in them.
อเสกฺขญาณํ อุปฺปนฺนํ✎ ร่าง
Asekhañāṇamuppannaṁ,
The adept’s knowledge has arisen:
อนฺติโมยํ ๓- สมุสฺสโย✎ ร่าง
antimoyaṁ samussayo;
‘This bag of bones is my last.’
โย สาโร พฺรหฺมจริยสฺส✎ ร่าง
Yo sāro brahmacariyassa,
They are independent of others
ตสฺมึ อปรปจฺจยา ๔- ฯ✎ ร่าง
tasmiṁ aparapaccayā.
in the core of the spiritual path.
วิธาสุ น วิกมฺปนฺติ✎ ร่าง
Vidhāsu na vikampanti,
They do not waver due to the discriminations,

วิปฺปมุตฺตา ปุนพฺภวา✎ ร่าง
vippamuttā punabbhavā;
they’re freed from future lives.
ทนฺตภูมึ อนุปฺปตฺตา✎ ร่าง
Dantabhūmimanuppattā,
They’ve reached the level of the tamed,
เต โลเก วิชิตาวิโน ฯ✎ ร่าง
te loke vijitāvino.
in the world, they’re the winners.
อุทฺธํ ติริยํ อปาจินํ✎ ร่าง
Uddhaṁ tiriyaṁ apācīnaṁ,
Above, below, all round,
นนฺทิ เตสํ น วิชฺชติ✎ ร่าง
nandī tesaṁ na vijjati;
relishing is not found in them.
นทนฺติ เต สีหนาทํ✎ ร่าง
Nadanti te sīhanādaṁ,
They roar their lion’s roar:
พุทฺธา โลเก อนุตฺตราติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
buddhā loke anuttarā”ti.
‘The awakened are supreme in the world!’”
