[๓๘๐] ถ้าภิกษุนั้นเสวยสุขเวทนา ก็รู้ชัดว่า สุขเวทนานั้นไม่เที่ยง
ไม่น่าหมกมุ่น ไม่น่าเพลิดเพลิน ถ้าเธอเสวยทุกขเวทนา ฯลฯ ถ้าเธอเสวย
อทุกขมสุขเวทนา ก็รู้ชัดว่า อทุกขมสุขเวทนานั้นไม่เที่ยง ไม่น่าหมกมุ่น ไม่น่า
เพลิดเพลิน ถ้าเธอเสวยสุขเวทนา ย่อมเป็นผู้ปราศจากกิเลสเสวยสุขเวทนานั้น
ถ้าเธอเสวยทุกขเวทนา ย่อมเป็นผู้ปราศจากกิเลสเสวยทุกขเวทนานั้น ถ้าเธอ
เสวยอทุกขมสุขเวทนา ย่อมเป็นผู้ปราศจากกิเลสเสวยอทุกขมสุขเวทนานั้น ภิกษุ
นั้นเมื่อเสวยเวทนามีกายเป็นที่สุด ก็รู้ชัดว่า เราเสวยเวทนามีกายเป็นที่สุด เมื่อ
เสวยเวทนามีชีวิตเป็นที่สุด ก็รู้ชัดว่า เราเสวยเวทนามีชีวิตเป็นที่สุด ย่อมรู้ชัดว่า
เมื่อตายไป เวทนาทั้งปวงอันไม่น่าเพลิดเพลิน จักเป็นความเย็นในโลกนี้

โส สุขญฺเจ เวทนํ เวทยติ สา อนิจฺจาติ ปชานาติ
อนชฺโฌสิตาติ ปชานาติ อนภินนฺทิตาติ ปชานาติ✎ ร่าง
So sukhañce vedanaṁ vedayati, sā aniccāti pajānāti, anajjhositāti pajānāti, anabhinanditāti pajānāti;
If they feel a pleasant feeling, they understand that it’s impermanent, that they’re not attached to it, and that they don’t take pleasure in it.

If they feel a painful feeling, they understand that it’s impermanent, that they’re not attached to it, and that they don’t take pleasure in it.
อทุกฺขมสุขญฺเจ เวทนํ เวทยติ สา อนิจฺจาติ
ปชานาติ อนชฺโฌสิตาติ ปชานาติ อนภินนฺทิตาติ ปชานาติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
adukkhamasukhañce vedanaṁ vedayati, sā aniccāti pajānāti, anajjhositāti pajānāti, anabhinanditāti pajānāti.
If they feel a neutral feeling, they understand that it’s impermanent, that they’re not attached to it, and that they don’t take pleasure in it.
โส สุขญฺเจ เวทนํ เวทยติ วิสญฺญุตฺโต นํ เวทยติ✎ ร่าง
So sukhañce vedanaṁ vedayati, visaññutto naṁ vedayati;
If they feel a pleasant feeling, they feel it detached.

เวทนํ เวทยติ วิสญฺญุตฺโต นํ เวทยติ✎ ร่าง
dukkhañce vedanaṁ vedayati, visaññutto naṁ vedayati;
If they feel a painful feeling, they feel it detached.
อทุกฺขมสุขญฺเจ เวทนํ
เวทยติ วิสญฺญุตฺโต นํ เวทยติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
adukkhamasukhañce vedanaṁ vedayati, visaññutto naṁ vedayati.
If they feel a neutral feeling, they feel it detached.
โส กายปริยนฺติกํ เวทนํ เวทยมาโน
กายปริยนฺติกํ เวทนํ เวทยามีติ ปชานาติ ชีวิตปริยนฺติกํ
เวทนํ เวทยมาโน ชีวิตปริยนฺติกํ เวทนํ เวทยามีติ ปชานาติ✎ ร่าง
So kāyapariyantikaṁ vedanaṁ vedayamāno ‘kāyapariyantikaṁ vedanaṁ vedayāmī’ti pajānāti, jīvitapariyantikaṁ vedanaṁ vedayamāno ‘jīvitapariyantikaṁ vedanaṁ vedayāmī’ti pajānāti.
Feeling the end of the body draw close, they understand: ‘I feel the end of the body draw close.’ Feeling the end of life draw close, they understand: ‘I feel the end of life draw close.’
กายสฺส เภทา อุทฺธํ ชีวิตปริยาทานา อิเธว สพฺพเวทยิตานิ
อนภินนฺทิตานิ สีติภวิสฺสนฺตีติ ปชานาติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
‘Kāyassa bhedā uddhaṁ jīvitapariyādānā idheva sabbavedayitāni anabhinanditāni sītībhavissantī’ti pajānāti.
They understand: ‘When my body breaks up and my life has come to an end, everything that’s felt, since I no longer take pleasure in it, will become cool right here.’
