[๑๕๔๓] ดูกรมหาบพิตร บุคคลบางคนในโลกนี้ เลื่อมใสยิ่งแน่วแน่ในพระพุทธเจ้า ... ในพระธรรม ... ในพระสงฆ์ ... ไม่มีปัญญาร่าเริง ไม่เฉียบแหลม ทั้งไม่ประกอบด้วยวิมุติ เพราะสังโยชน์ ๓ สิ้นไป เขาได้เป็นพระโสดาบัน มีความไม่ตกต่ำเป็นธรรมดา เป็นผู้เที่ยงที่จะ ตรัสรู้ในเบื้องหน้า บุคคลแม้นี้ก็พ้นจากนรก ... อบาย ทุคติ วินิบาต.

น หาสปญฺโญ น ชวนปญฺโญ น จ วิมุตฺติยา สมนฺนาคโต ฯ✎ ร่าง

na hāsapañño na javanapañño na ca vimuttiyā samannāgato.

But they don’t have laughing wisdom or swift wisdom, nor are they endowed with freedom.

โส ติณฺณํ สญฺโญชนานํ ปริกฺขยา โสตาปนฺโน โหติ อวินิปาตธมฺโม นิยโต สมฺโพธิปรายโน ฯ✎ ร่าง

So tiṇṇaṁ saṁyojanānaṁ parikkhayā sotāpanno hoti avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo.

With the ending of three fetters they’re a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, assured, destined for awakening.

อยมฺปิ โข มหานาม ปุคฺคโล ปริมุตฺโต นิรยา ปริมุตฺโต ติรจฺฉานโยนิยา ปริมุตฺโต ปิตฺติวิสยา ปริมุตฺโต อปายทุคฺคติวินิปาตา ฯ✎ ร่าง

Ayampi kho, mahānāma, puggalo parimutto nirayā parimutto tiracchānayoniyā parimutto pettivisayā parimutto apāyaduggativinipātā.

This individual, too, is exempt from hell, the animal realm, and the ghost realm. They’re exempt from places of loss, bad places, the underworld.
