[๑๕๕๐] สา. ดูกรคฤหบดี ปุถุชนผู้ไม่ได้สดับ ประกอบด้วยความไม่เลื่อมใสใน พระพุทธเจ้าเห็นปานใด เมื่อแตกกายตายไป ย่อมเข้าถึงอบาย ทุคติ วินิบาต นรก ความไม่ เลื่อมใสในพระพุทธเจ้าเห็นปานนั้น ย่อมไม่มีแก่ท่าน ส่วนท่านมีความเลื่อมใสอันไม่หวั่นไหว ในพระพุทธเจ้าว่า แม้เพราะเหตุนี้ๆ พระผู้มีพระภาคพระองค์นั้น ฯลฯ เป็นผู้จำแนกธรรม ก็ เมื่อท่านเห็นความเลื่อมใสอันไม่หวั่นไหวในพระพุทธเจ้านั้นอยู่ในตน เวทนาจะพึงสงบระงับ โดยพลัน.

ยถารูเปน โข คหปติ พุทฺเธ อเวจฺจปฺปสาเทน สมนฺนาคโต อสฺสุตวา ปุถุชฺชโน กายสฺส เภทา ปรํ มรณา อปายํ ทุคฺคตึ วินิปาตํ นิรยํ อุปปชฺชติ ตถารูโป เต พุทฺเธ อปฺปสาโท นตฺถิ ฯ✎ ร่าง

“Yathārūpena kho, gahapati, buddhe appasādena samannāgato assutavā puthujjano kāyassa bhedā paraṁ maraṇā apāyaṁ duggatiṁ vinipātaṁ nirayaṁ upapajjati tathārūpo te buddhe appasādo natthi.

“Householder, you don’t have the distrust in the Buddha that causes an unlearned ordinary person to be reborn—when their body breaks up, after death—in a place of loss, a bad place, the underworld, hell.

Atthi ca kho te, gahapati, buddhe aveccappasādo—

And you have experiential confidence in the Buddha:

อิติปิ โส ภควา ฯเปฯ สตฺถา เทวมนุสฺสานํ พุทฺโธ ภควาติ ฯ✎ ร่าง

itipi so bhagavā …pe… satthā devamanussānaṁ buddho bhagavāti.

‘That Blessed One is perfected, a fully awakened Buddha, accomplished in knowledge and conduct, holy, knower of the world, supreme guide for those fit for training, teacher of gods and humans, awakened, blessed.’

ตญฺจ ปน เต พุทฺเธ อเวจฺจปฺปสาทํ อตฺตนิ สมนุปสฺสโต ฐานโส เวทนา ปฏิปฺปสฺสมฺเภยฺยุํ ๑- ฯ✎ ร่าง

Tañca pana te buddhe aveccappasādaṁ attani samanupassato ṭhānaso vedanā paṭippassambheyya.

Seeing in yourself that experiential confidence in the Buddha, that pain may die down on the spot.
