[๑๕๖๕] ผู้ใดมีศรัทธา ตั้งมั่นไม่หวั่นไหว ในพระตถาคต มีศีลอันงาม ที่พระอริยเจ้าใคร่แล้ว สรรเสริญแล้ว มีความเลื่อมใสในพระสงฆ์ และมีความเห็นอันตรง บัณฑิตทั้งหลายเรียกผู้นั้นว่า เป็นคนไม่ขัดสน ชีวิตของผู้นั้นไม่เปล่าประโยชน์ เพราะฉะนั้น บุคคลผู้มีปัญญา เมื่อ ระลึกถึงคำสอนของพระพุทธเจ้าทั้งหลาย พึงประกอบตามซึ่งศรัทธา ศีล ความเลื่อมใสและความเห็นธรรม.

“Whoever has faith in the Realized One,

whose ethical conduct is good,

อริยกนฺตํ ปสํสิตํ ฯ✎ ร่าง

ariyakantaṁ pasaṁsitaṁ.

praised and loved by the noble ones;

sn55.26:21.1 #

สงฺเฆ ปสาโท ยสฺสตฺถิ✎ ร่าง

Saṅghe pasādo yassatthi,

who has confidence in the Saṅgha,

อุชุภูตญฺจ ทสฺสนํ✎ ร่าง

ujubhūtañca dassanaṁ;

and correct view:

อทฬิทฺโทติ ตํ อาหุ✎ ร่าง

Adaliddoti taṁ āhu,

they’re said to be prosperous,

sn55.26:21.4 #

อโมฆนฺตสฺส ชีวิตํ ฯ✎ ร่าง

amoghaṁ tassa jīvitaṁ.

their life is not in vain.

ตสฺมา สทฺธญฺจ สีลญฺจ✎ ร่าง

Tasmā saddhañca sīlañca,

So let the wise devote themselves

confidence, and insight into the teaching,
