[๑๘๐๓] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ฉันนั้นเหมือนกัน สัตว์ที่จุติจากปิตติวิสัยไปแล้ว จะกลับไปเกิดในพวกเทวดา มีน้อย โดยที่แท้ สัตว์ที่จุติจากปิตติวิสัยไปแล้ว กลับไปเกิดใน ปิตติวิสัย มีมากกว่า ข้อนั้นเพราะเหตุไร? เพราะไม่เห็นอริยสัจ ๔ อริยสัจ ๔ เป็นไฉน? คือ ทุกขอริยสัจ ทุกขสมุทยอริยสัจ ทุกขนิโรธอริยสัจ ทุกขนิโรธคามินีปฏิปทาอริยสัจ ดูกร ภิกษุทั้งหลาย เพราะฉะนั้นแหละ เธอทั้งหลาย พึงกระทำความเพียรเพื่อรู้ตามความเป็นจริงว่า นี้ทุกข์ นี้ทุกขสมุทัย นี้ทุกขนิโรธ นี้ทุกขนิโรธคามินีปฏิปทา พระผู้มีพระภาคได้ตรัสไวยากรณ- *ภาษิตนี้จบลงแล้ว ภิกษุเหล่านั้นชื่นชมยินดีพระภาษิตของพระผู้มีพระภาค ฉะนี้แล. ๑. มรรคสังยุต ๒. โพชฌงคสังยุต ๓. สติปัฏฐานสังยุต ๔. อินทรียสังยุต ๕. สัมมัปปธานสังยุต ๖. พลสังยุต ๗. อิทธิปาทสังยุต ๘. อนุรุทธสังยุต ๙. ฌานสังยุต ๑๐. อานาปานสังยุต ๑๑. โสตาปัตติสังยุต ๑๒. สัจจสังยุต.

… “Evameva kho, bhikkhave, appakā te sattā ye pettivisayā cutā devesu paccājāyanti; atha kho eteva bahutarā sattā ye pettivisayā cutā pettivisaye paccājāyanti.

“… the sentient beings who die as ghosts and are reborn as gods are few, while those who die as ghosts and are reborn in the ghost realm are many.

It’s because they haven’t seen the four noble truths.

Dukkhassa ariyasaccassa, dukkhasamudayassa ariyasaccassa, dukkhanirodhassa ariyasaccassa, dukkhanirodhagāminiyā paṭipadāya ariyasaccassa.

The noble truths of suffering, the origin of suffering, the cessation of suffering, and the practice that leads to the cessation of suffering.

ตสฺมา ติห ภิกฺขเว อิทํ ทุกฺขนฺติ โยโค กรณีโย อยํ ทุกฺขสมุทโยติ โยโค กรณีโย อยํ ทุกฺขนิโรโธติ โยโค กรณีโย อยํ ทุกฺขนิโรธ- คามินี ปฏิปทาติ โยโค กรณีโยติ ฯ✎ ร่าง

Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, ‘idaṁ dukkhan’ti yogo karaṇīyo, ‘ayaṁ dukkhasamudayo’ti yogo karaṇīyo, ‘ayaṁ dukkhanirodho’ti yogo karaṇīyo, ‘ayaṁ dukkhanirodhagāminī paṭipadā’ti yogo karaṇīyo”ti.

That’s why you should practice meditation to understand: ‘This is suffering’ … ‘This is the origin of suffering’ … ‘This is the cessation of suffering’ … ‘This is the practice that leads to the cessation of suffering’.”

That is what the Buddha said.
