[๓๔๓] สาวัตถีนิทาน. ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย กามคุณ ๕ อย่างนี้ ๕ อย่างเป็นไฉน? คือ
รูปที่พึงรู้ได้ด้วยตา อันน่าปรารถนา น่าใคร่ น่าพอใจ น่ารัก ยั่วยวน ชวนให้กำหนัด เสียง
ที่พึงรู้ด้วยหู ... กลิ่นที่พึงรู้ด้วยจมูก ... รสที่พึงรู้ด้วยลิ้น ... โผฏฐัพพะที่พึงรู้ด้วยกาย อันน่า
ปรารถนา น่าใคร่ น่าพอใจ น่ารัก ยั่วยวน ชวนให้กำหนัด ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย กามคุณ ๕

“Mendicants, there are these five kinds of sensual stimulation.

จกฺขุวิญฺเญยฺยา รูปา อิฏฺฐา กนฺตา มนาปา ปิยรูปา
กามูปสญฺหิตา รชนิยา✎ ร่าง
Cakkhuviññeyyā rūpā iṭṭhā kantā manāpā piyarūpā kāmūpasaṁhitā rajanīyā,
Sights known by the eye, which are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing.
โสตวิญฺเญยฺยา สทฺทา ฯเปฯ
ฆานวิญฺเญยฺยา คนฺธา ฯ✎ ร่าง
sotaviññeyyā saddā …pe… ghānaviññeyyā gandhā …pe…
Sounds known by the ear … Smells known by the nose …
ชิวฺหาวิญฺเญยฺยา รสา ฯ✎ ร่าง
jivhāviññeyyā rasā …pe…
Tastes known by the tongue …
กายวิญฺเญยฺยา
โผฏฺฐพฺพา อิฏฺฐา กนฺตา มนาปา ปิยรูปา กามูปสญฺหิตา รชนิยา ฯ✎ ร่าง
kāyaviññeyyā phoṭṭhabbā iṭṭhā kantā manāpā piyarūpā kāmūpasaṁhitā rajanīyā—
Touches known by the body, which are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing.
อิเม โข ภิกฺขเว ปญฺจ กามคุณา ฯ✎ ร่าง
ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca kāmaguṇā.
These are the five kinds of sensual stimulation.
