[๑๕๙] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๒ ประการ เป็นผู้ สามารถในอันปฏิบัติเพื่อประโยชน์เกื้อกูลแก่ผู้อื่น แต่ไม่เป็นผู้สามารถในอัน ปฏิบัติเพื่อประโยชน์เกื้อกูลแก่ตน ธรรม ๒ ประการเป็นไฉน ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุในธรรมวินัยนี้ ไม่เป็นผู้มีความเข้าใจได้เร็วในกุศลธรรมทั้งหลาย ไม่ทรงจำ ธรรมที่ได้ฟังแล้ว ไม่พิจารณาเนื้อความแห่งธรรมที่ได้ทรงจำแล้ว หารู้อรรถ รู้ธรรมแล้วปฏิบัติธรรมสมควรแก่ธรรมไม่ แต่เป็นผู้มีวาจางาม กล่าวถ้อยคำ ไพเราะ ประกอบด้วยวาจาของชาวเมืองอันสละสลวย ไม่มีโทษ ให้รู้ประโยชน์ ๑ ชี้แจงสพรหมจารีให้เห็นแจ้ง ให้สมาทาน ให้อาจหาญร่าเริง ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุประกอบด้วยธรรม ๒ ประการนี้แล เป็นผู้สามารถในอันปฏิบัติเพื่อประโยชน์ เกื้อกูลแก่ผู้อื่น แต่ไม่เป็นผู้สามารถในอันปฏิบัติเพื่อประโยชน์เกื้อกูลแก่ตน ฯ
