[๑๘๗] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย เราจักแสดงธรรมที่ควรทำให้แจ้งและธรรม
ที่ไม่ควรทำให้แจ้งแก่เธอทั้งหลาย เธอทั้งหลายจงฟัง จงใส่ใจให้ดี เราจักกล่าว
ภิกษุเหล่านั้นทูลรับพระผู้มีพระภาคแล้ว พระผู้มีพระภาคได้ตรัสว่า ดูกรภิกษุ
ทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรมที่ไม่ควรทำให้แจ้งเป็นไฉน การฆ่าสัตว์ ฯลฯ ความเห็นผิด
นี้เรียกว่าธรรมที่ไม่ควรทำให้แจ้ง ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรมที่ควรทำให้แจ้งเป็น
ไฉน การงดเว้นจากการฆ่าสัตว์ ฯลฯ ความเห็นชอบ นี้เรียกว่าธรรมที่ควร
ทำให้แจ้ง ฯ
สจฺฉิกาตพฺพญฺจ โว ภิกฺขเว ธมฺมํ เทสิสฺสามิ น
