Atha kho so, kevaṭṭa, bhikkhu yena so mahābrahmā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā taṁ mahābrahmānaṁ etadavoca:
ดูกรเกวัฏฏ์ ลำดับนั้น เธอได้เข้าไปหามหาพรหมแล้วถามว่า ท่าน มหาภูตรูป
ทั้ง ๔ คือ ปฐวีธาตุ อาโปธาตุ เตโชธาตุ วาโยธาตุ เหล่านี้ ย่อมดับไม่มีเหลือในที่ไหน?🤖 AI จับคู่
Then that mendicant approached the Great Divinity and said to him,
กตฺถ นุ โข อาวุโส
อิเม จตฺตาโร มหาภูตา อปริเสสา นิรุชฺฌนฺติ เสยฺยถีทํ ปฐวีธาตุ
อาโปธาตุ เตโชธาตุ วาโยธาตูติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
‘kattha nu kho, āvuso, ime cattāro mahābhūtā aparisesā nirujjhanti, seyyathidaṁ—pathavīdhātu āpodhātu tejodhātu vāyodhātū’ti?
‘Reverend, where do these four principal states cease without remainder, namely, the elements of earth, water, fire, and air?’
เอวํ วุตฺเต เกวฏฺฏ โส
มหาพฺรหฺมา ตํ ภิกฺขุํ เอตทโวจ✎ ร่าง
Evaṁ vutte, kevaṭṭa, so mahābrahmā taṁ bhikkhuṁ etadavoca:
The Great Divinity said to him,
อหมสฺมิ ภิกฺขุ พฺรหฺมา มหาพฺรหฺมา
อภิภู อนภิภูโต อญฺญทตฺถุทโส วสวตฺติ อิสฺสโร กตฺตา นิมฺมิตา
เสฏฺโฐ สชฺชิตา วสี ปิตา ภูตภพฺยานนฺติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
‘ahamasmi, bhikkhu, brahmā mahābrahmā abhibhū anabhibhūto aññadatthudaso vasavattī issaro kattā nimmātā seṭṭho sajitā vasī pitā bhūtabhabyānan’ti.
‘I am the Divinity, the Great Divinity, the Vanquisher, the Unvanquished, the Universal Seer, the Wielder of Power, God Almighty, the Maker, the Creator, the First, the Begetter, the Controller, the Father of those who have been born and those yet to be born.’
ทุติยมฺปิ โข เกวฏฺฏ โส
ภิกฺขุ ตํ มหาพฺรหฺมานํ เอตทโวจ✎ ร่าง
Dutiyampi kho so, kevaṭṭa, bhikkhu taṁ mahābrahmānaṁ etadavoca:
ดูกรเกวัฏฏ์ ลำดับนั้น ท้าวมหาพรหมนั้น จับแขนภิกษุนั้นนำไป ณ ที่ควร
ข้างหนึ่ง แล้วได้กล่าวว่า ดูกรภิกษุ พวกเทวดาผู้นับเนื่องในหมู่พรหมเหล่านี้เข้าใจเราว่า อะไรๆ
ที่พรหมไม่รู้ ไม่เห็น ไม่แจ่มแจ้ง ไม่ประจักษ์ ไม่มี ดังนี้ เพราะฉะนั้น ข้าพเจ้าจึงตอบต่อหน้า
เทวดาเหล่านั้นไม่ได้ว่า แม้ข้าพเจ้าก็ไม่ทราบที่ดับไม่มีเหลือแห่งมหาภูตรูปทั้ง ๔🤖 AI จับคู่
For a second time, that mendicant said to the Great Divinity,

วสวตฺติ อิสฺสโร กตฺตา นิมฺมิตา สชฺชิตา วสี ปิตา ภูตภพฺยานํ✎ ร่าง
“tvamasi brahmā mahābrahmā abhibhū anabhibhūto aññadatthudaso vasavattī issaro kattā nimmātā seṭṭho sajitā vasī pitā bhūtabhabyānan”ti.

For a third time, that mendicant said to the Great Divinity,
น โข อหนฺตํ อาวุโส เอวํ
ปุจฺฉามิ✎ ร่าง
‘na khohaṁ taṁ, āvuso, evaṁ pucchāmi:
‘Reverend, I am not asking you whether you are

ดูกรเกวัฏฏ์ ลำดับนั้น ท้าวมหาพรหมนั้น จับแขนภิกษุนั้นนำไป ณ ที่ควรข้างหนึ่ง แล้วได้กล่าวว่า ดูกรภิกษุ พวกเทวดาผู้นับเนื่องในหมู่พรหมเหล่านี้เข้าใจเราว่า อะไรๆ ที่พรหมไม่รู้ ไม่เห็น ไม่แจ่มแจ้ง ไม่ประจักษ์ ไม่มี ดังนี้ เพราะฉะนั้น ข้าพเจ้าจึงตอบต่อหน้าเทวดาเหล่านั้นไม่ได้ว่า แม้ข้าพเจ้าก็ไม่ทราบที่ดับไม่มีเหลือแห่งมหาภูตรูปทั้ง ๔🤖 AI จับคู่
Then the Great Divinity took that mendicant by the arm, led him off to one side, and said to him,
