สุปติฏฺฐิตปาโท โหติ✎ ร่าง
Suppatiṭṭhitapādo hoti.
he has well-planted feet.
สมํ ปาทํ ภูมิยํ นิกฺขิปติ สมํ อุทฺธรติ
สมํ สพฺพาวนฺเตหิ ปาทตเลหิ ภูมึ ผุสติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Samaṁ pādaṁ bhūmiyaṁ nikkhipati, samaṁ uddharati, samaṁ sabbāvantehi pādatalehi bhūmiṁ phusati.
He places his foot on the ground evenly, raises it evenly, and touches the ground evenly with the whole sole of his foot.
โส เตน ลกฺขเณน สมนฺนาคโต
สเจ อคารํ อชฺฌาวสติ ราชา โหติ จกฺกวตฺติ ธมฺมิโก ธมฺมราชา
จาตุรนฺโต วิชิตาวี ชนปทฏฺฐาวริยปฺปตฺโต สตฺตรตนสมนฺนาคโต ฯ✎ ร่าง
So tena lakkhaṇena samannāgato sace agāraṁ ajjhāvasati, rājā hoti cakkavattī dhammiko dhammarājā cāturanto vijitāvī janapadatthāvariyappatto sattaratanasamannāgato.
Possessing this mark, if he stays at home he becomes a wheel-turning monarch.

ตสฺสิมานิ สตฺต รตนานิ ภวนฺติ✎ ร่าง
Tassimāni satta ratanāni bhavanti;
He has the following seven treasures:
เสยฺยถีทํ จกฺกรตนํ หตฺถิรตนํ
อสฺสรตนํ มณิรตนํ อิตฺถีรตนํ คหปติรตนํ ปริณายกรตนเมว สตฺตมํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Seyyathidaṁ—cakkaratanaṁ hatthiratanaṁ assaratanaṁ maṇiratanaṁ itthiratanaṁ gahapatiratanaṁ pariṇāyakaratanameva sattamaṁ.
the wheel, the elephant, the horse, the jewel, the woman, the householder, and the commander as the seventh treasure.
ปโรสหสฺสํ โข ปนสฺส ปุตฺตา ภวนฺติ สูรา วีรงฺครูปา ปรเสนปฺปมทฺทนา ฯ✎ ร่าง
Parosahassaṁ kho panassa puttā bhavanti sūrā vīraṅgarūpā parasenappamaddanā.
He has over a thousand sons who are valiant and heroic, crushing the armies of his enemies.
โส อิมํ ปฐวึ สาครปริยนฺตํ อขีลมนิมิตฺตมกณฺฏกํ อิทฺธํ ผีตํ
เขมํ สิวํ นิรพฺพุทํ อทณฺเฑน อสตฺเถน ธมฺเมน สเมน อภิวิชิย
อชฺฌาวสติ✎ ร่าง
So imaṁ pathaviṁ sāgarapariyantaṁ akhilamanimittamakaṇṭakaṁ iddhaṁ phītaṁ khemaṁ sivaṁ nirabbudaṁ adaṇḍena asatthena dhammena abhivijiya ajjhāvasati.
After conquering this land girt by sea—free of harassment by bandits, successful and prosperous, safe, blessed, free of pests—he reigns by principle, without rod or sword.

Rājā samāno kiṁ labhati?
And what does he obtain as king?
อกฺขมฺภิโย ๑- โหติ เกนจิ

มนุสฺสภูเตน ปจฺจตฺถิเกน ปจฺจามิตฺเตน✎ ร่าง
Akkhambhiyo hoti kenaci manussabhūtena paccatthikena paccāmittena.
He can’t be stopped by any human foe or enemy.
ราชา สมาโน อิทํ
ลภติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Rājā samāno idaṁ labhati.
That’s what he obtains as king.
สเจ โข ปน อคารสฺมา อนคาริยํ ปพฺพชติ อรหํ
โหติ สมฺมาสมฺพุทฺโธ โลเก วิวฏจฺฉโท✎ ร่าง
Sace kho pana agārasmā anagāriyaṁ pabbajati, arahaṁ hoti sammāsambuddho loke vivaṭṭacchado.
But if he goes forth from the lay life to homelessness, he becomes a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha, who has cast off the world’s veil.
พุทฺโธ สมาโน กึ

Buddho samāno kiṁ labhati?
And what does he obtain as Buddha?
—
Dhammesu hoti paguṇo visavī;
he’ll be sophisticated, proficient in the teachings.
อกฺขมฺภิโย โหติ อพฺภนฺตเรหิ วา พาหิเรหิ วา ปจฺจตฺถิเกหิ✎ ร่าง
Akkhambhiyo hoti abbhantarehi vā bāhirehi vā paccatthikehi paccāmittehi rāgena vā dosena vā mohena vā samaṇena vā brāhmaṇena vā devena vā mārena vā brahmunā vā kenaci vā lokasmiṁ.
He can’t be stopped by any foe or enemy whether internal or external; nor by greed, hate, or delusion; nor by any ascetic or brahmin or god or Māra or divinity or by anyone in the world.
