รูปสฺสาหํ ภิกฺขเว อสฺสาทปริเยสนํ

“Rūpassāhaṁ, bhikkhave, assādapariyesanaṁ acariṁ.
“Mendicants, I went in search of form’s gratification,
โย รูปสฺส อสฺสาโท ตทชฺฌคมํ✎ ร่าง
Yo rūpassa assādo tadajjhagamaṁ.
and I found it.
ยาวตา รูปสฺส อสฺสาโท
ปญฺญาย เม โส สุทิฏฺโฐ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Yāvatā rūpassa assādo paññāya me so sudiṭṭho.
I’ve seen clearly with wisdom the full extent of form’s gratification.
รูปสฺสาหํ ภิกฺขเว อาทีนวปริเยสนํ
อจรึ✎ ร่าง
Rūpassāhaṁ, bhikkhave, ādīnavapariyesanaṁ acariṁ.
I went in search of form’s drawback,
โย รูปสฺส อาทีนโว ตทชฺฌคมํ✎ ร่าง
Yo rūpassa ādīnavo tadajjhagamaṁ.
and I found it.
ยาวตา รูปสฺส อาทีนโว
ปญฺญาย เม โส สุทิฏฺโฐ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Yāvatā rūpassa ādīnavo paññāya me so sudiṭṭho.
I’ve seen clearly with wisdom the full extent of form’s drawback.
รูปสฺสาหํ ภิกฺขเว นิสฺสรณปริเยสนํ
อจรึ✎ ร่าง
Rūpassāhaṁ, bhikkhave, nissaraṇapariyesanaṁ acariṁ.
I went in search of form’s escape,
ยํ รูปสฺส นิสฺสรณํ ตทชฺฌคมํ✎ ร่าง
Yaṁ rūpassa nissaraṇaṁ tadajjhagamaṁ.
and I found it.
ยาวตา รูปสฺส นิสฺสรณํ
ปญฺญาย เม ตํ สุทิฏฺฐํ ฯ เวทนายาหํ ภิกฺขเว ฯ✎ ร่าง
Yāvatā rūpassa nissaraṇaṁ paññāya me taṁ sudiṭṭhaṁ.

and I found it.
ยาวตา วิญฺญาณสฺส อสฺสาโท ปญฺญาย เม โส สุทิฏฺโฐ ฯ✎ ร่าง

เม โส สุทิฏฺโฐ ฯ✎ ร่าง

ยาวกีวญฺจาหํ ภิกฺขเว อิเมสํ ปญฺจนฺนํ อุปาทานกฺขนฺธานํ
อสฺสาทญฺจ อสฺสาทโต อาทีนวญฺจ อาทีนวโต นิสฺสรณญฺจ
นิสฺสรณโต ยถาภูตํ น อพฺภญฺญาสึ ฯเปฯ ปจ✎ ร่าง
Yāvakīvañcāhaṁ, bhikkhave, imesaṁ pañcannaṁ upādānakkhandhānaṁ assādañca assādato ādīnavañca ādīnavato nissaraṇañca nissaraṇato yathābhūtaṁ nābbhaññāsiṁ …pe…
As long as I didn’t truly understand these five grasping aggregates’ gratification, drawback, and escape for what they are, I didn’t announce my supreme perfect awakening …

ญาณญฺจ ปน เม ทสฺสนํ อุทปาทิ✎ ร่าง
Ñāṇañca pana me dassanaṁ udapādi:
Knowledge and vision arose in me:
อกุปฺปา เม วิมุตฺติ อยมนฺติมา
ชาติ นตฺถิทานิ ปุนพฺภโวติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
‘akuppā me vimutti; ayamantimā jāti; natthi dāni punabbhavo’”ti.
‘My freedom is unshakable; this is my last rebirth; now there’ll be no more future lives.’”
