Ekaṁ samayaṁ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṁ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme.
At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery.
ตตฺร โข ภควา ภิกฺขู
อามนฺเตสิ🤖 AI จับคู่
Tatra kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi:
There the Buddha addressed the mendicants,
ภิกฺขโวติ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
“bhikkhavo”ti.
“Mendicants!”
ภทนฺเตติ เต ภิกฺขู ภควโต ปจฺจสฺโสสุํ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
“Bhadante”ti te bhikkhū bhagavato paccassosuṁ.
“Venerable sir,” they replied.

“Mendicants, the eye is impermanent.

Yadaniccaṁ taṁ dukkhaṁ;
What’s impermanent is suffering.
ยํ ทุกฺขํ ตทนตฺตา🤖 AI จับคู่
yaṁ dukkhaṁ tadanattā.
What’s suffering is not-self.
ยทนตฺตา ตํ เนตํ มม เนโสหมสฺมิ น เมโส
อตฺตาติ เอวเมตํ ยถาภูตํ สมฺมปฺปญฺญาย ทฏฺฐพฺพํ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
Yadanattā taṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya daṭṭhabbaṁ.
And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’
เอวํ ปสฺสํ ภิกฺขเว สุตวา อริยสาวโก จกฺขุสฺมึปิ นิพฺพินฺทติ
โสตสฺมึปิ นิพฺพินฺทติ ฆานสฺมึปิ นิพฺพินฺทติ ชิวฺหายปิ นิพฺพินฺทติ
กายสฺมึปิ นิพฺพินฺทติ มนสฺมึปิ นิพฺพินฺทติ🤖 AI จับคู่
Evaṁ passaṁ, bhikkhave, sutavā ariyasāvako cakkhusmimpi nibbindati, sotasmimpi nibbindati, ghānasmimpi nibbindati, jivhāyapi nibbindati, kāyasmimpi nibbindati, manasmimpi nibbindati.
Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind.
นิพฺพินฺทํ วิรชฺชติ วิราคา
วิมุจฺจติ ฯ วิมุตฺตสฺมึ วิมุตฺตมิติ ๑- ญาณํ โหติ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
Nibbindaṁ virajjati; virāgā vimuccati; vimuttasmiṁ vimuttamiti ñāṇaṁ hoti.
Being disillusioned, desire fades away. When desire fades away they’re freed. When they’re freed, they know they’re freed.
ขีณา ชาติ วุสิตํ
พฺรหฺมจริยํ กตํ กรณียํ นาปรํ อิตฺถตฺตายาติ ปชานาตีติ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
‘Khīṇā jāti, vusitaṁ brahmacariyaṁ, kataṁ karaṇīyaṁ, nāparaṁ itthattāyā’ti pajānātī”ti.
They understand: ‘Rebirth is ended, the spiritual journey has been completed, what had to be done has been done, there is nothing further for this place.’”
