[๒๘๗] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย บริษัท ๒ จำพวกนี้ ๒ จำพวกเป็นไฉน คือ
บริษัทตื้น ๑ บริษัทลึก ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็บริษัทตื้นเป็นไฉน ดูกรภิกษุ
ทั้งหลาย บริษัทใดในธรรมวินัยนี้ มีภิกษุฟุ้งซ่านเชิดตัว มีจิตกวัดแกว่ง ปากกล้า
พูดจาอื้อฉาว หลงลืมสติ ไม่มีสัมปชัญญะ มีจิตไม่ตั้งมั่น คิดจะสึก ไม่สำรวม
อินทรีย์ บริษัทเช่นนี้เรียกว่าบริษัทตื้น ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็บริษัทลึกเป็นไฉน
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย บริษัทใดในธรรมวินัยนี้ มีภิกษุไม่ฟุ้งซ่าน ไม่เชิดตัว มีจิต
ไม่กวัดแกว่ง ปากไม่กล้า ไม่พูดจาอื้อฉาว ดำรงสติมั่น มีสัมปชัญญะ มีใจ
ตั้งมั่น มีจิตเป็นเอกัคคตา สำรวมอินทรีย์ บริษัทเช่นนี้ เรียกว่าบริษัทลึก ดูกร
ภิกษุทั้งหลาย บริษัท ๒ จำพวกนี้แล บรรดาบริษัท ๒ จำพวกนี้ บริษัทลึกเป็นเลิศ ฯ

ปริสา คมฺภีรา จ ปริสา ฯ กตมา จ ภิกฺขเว อุตฺตานา ปริสา อิธ🤖 AI จับคู่
“Ye te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū duggahitehi suttantehi byañjanappatirūpakehi atthañca dhammañca paṭibāhanti te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū bahujanāhitāya paṭipannā bahujanāsukhāya, bahuno janassa anatthāya ahitāya dukkhāya devamanussānaṁ.
“Mendicants, by memorizing the discourses incorrectly, taking only a semblance of the phrasing, some mendicants shut out the meaning and the teaching. They act for the detriment and suffering of the people, against the people, for the harm, detriment, and suffering of gods and humans.
ภิกฺขเว ยสฺสํ ปริสายํ ภิกฺขู อุทฺธตา โหนฺติ อุนฺนฬา จปลา มุขรา
วิกิณฺณวาจา มุฏฺฐสฺสตี อสมฺปชานา อสมาหิตา วิพฺภนฺตจิตฺตา

Bahuñca te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū apuññaṁ pasavanti, te cimaṁ saddhammaṁ antaradhāpenti.
They brim with much wickedness and make the true teaching disappear.
ตินฺทฺริยา อยํ วุจฺจติ ภิกฺขเว อุตฺตานา ปริสา ฯ กตมา จ

Ye te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū suggahitehi suttantehi byañjanappatirūpakehi atthañca dhammañca anulomenti te, bhikkhave, bhikkhū bahujanahitāya paṭipannā bahujanasukhāya, bahuno janassa atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānaṁ.
But by memorizing the discourses well, not taking only a semblance of the phrasing, some mendicants conform to the meaning and the teaching. They act for the welfare and happiness of the people, for the people, for the benefit, welfare, and happiness of gods and humans.
