[๑๙๖] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย มหาสุบิน ๕ ประการ ปรากฏแก่ตถาคต อรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ๕ ประการเป็นไฉน คือ แผ่นดินใหญ่นี้เป็นที่นอนใหญ่ ขุนเขาหิมวันต์เป็นเขนย มือซ้ายหย่อนลงในสมุทรด้านทิศบูรพา มือขวาหย่อนลงในสมุทรด้านทิศประจิม เท้าทั้งสองหย่อนลงในสมุทรด้านทิศทักษิณ นี้เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๑ ปรากฏแก่ ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์ อยู่ ฯ อีกประการหนึ่ง หญ้าคาได้ขึ้นจากนาภีของตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ จดท้องฟ้า ตั้งอยู่ นี้ เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๒ ปรากฏแก่ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ฯ อีกประการหนึ่ง หมู่หนอนมีสีขาว ศีรษะดำ ได้ไต่ขึ้นมาจากเท้าของ สัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ปกปิด ตลอดถึงชานุมณฑล นี้เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๓ ปรากฏแก่ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมา สัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ฯ อีกประการหนึ่ง นกสี่เหล่ามีสีต่างๆ กัน บินมาจากทิศทั้งสี่ ตกลง แทบเท้าของตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยัง เป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ แล้วกลับกลายเป็นสีขาวทุกตัว นี้เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๔ ปรากฏแก่ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็น พระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ฯ อีกประการหนึ่ง ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ เดินไปมาบนภูเขาคูถลูกใหญ่ (แต่) ไม่แปด เปื้อนคูถ นี้เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๕ ปรากฏแก่ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธ ก่อน แต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ฯ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ข้อที่แผ่นดินใหญ่นี้ เป็นที่นอนใหญ่ของตถาคต อรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ขุนเขาหิมวันต์เป็นเขนย มือซ้ายหย่อนลงในสมุทรด้านทิศบูรพา มือขวาหย่อนลง ในสมุทรด้านทิศประจิม เท้าทั้งสองหย่อนลงในสมุทรด้านทิศทักษิณ นี้เป็นมหา สุบินข้อที่ ๑ ปรากฏเพื่อเป็นนิมิตให้ทราบว่า ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะได้ ตรัสรู้สัมมาสัมโพธิญาณที่ไม่มีธรรมอื่นยิ่งกว่า ฯ ข้อที่หญ้าคาได้ขึ้นจากนาภีของตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ จดท้องฟ้าตั้งอยู่ นี้เป็นมหาสุบิน ข้อที่ ๒ ปรากฏเพื่อเป็นนิมิตให้ทราบว่า ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะได้ตรัสรู้ อริยมรรคมีองค์ ๘ แล้วประกาศด้วยดี ตลอดถึงเทวดาและมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย ฯ ข้อที่หมู่หนอนมีสีขาว ศีรษะดำ ได้ไต่ขึ้นจากเท้าของตถาคตอรหันตสัมมา สัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ปกปิดตลอด ถึงชานุมณฑล นี้เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๓ ปรากฏเพื่อเป็นนิมิตให้ทราบว่า คฤหัสถ์ ผู้นุ่งห่มผ้าขาวจำนวนมากได้ถึงตถาคตเป็นสรณะตลอดชีวิต ฯ ข้อที่นกสี่เหล่ามีสีต่างๆ กัน บินมาจากทิศทั้งสี่ ตกลงแทบเท้าของ ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิ- *สัตว์อยู่ แล้วกลับกลายเป็นสีขาวทุกตัว นี้เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๔ ปรากฏเพื่อเป็น นิมิตให้ทราบว่า วรรณะทั้งสี่เหล่านี้ คือ กษัตริย์ พราหมณ์ แพศย์ ศูทร ออกบวชในธรรมวินัยที่ตถาคตประกาศแล้ว ก็ทำให้แจ้งซึ่งวิมุตติอันยอดเยี่ยม ฯ ข้อที่ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยัง เป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ เดินไปมาบนภูเขาคูถลูกใหญ่ (แต่) ไม่แปดเปื้อนคูถ นี้ เป็นมหาสุบินข้อที่ ๕ ปรากฏเพื่อเป็นนิมิตให้ทราบว่า ตถาคตได้ (ร่ำรวย) จีวร บิณฑบาต เสนาสนะ และคิลานปัจจัยเภสัชบริขาร แล้วไม่ลุ่มหลง ไม่หมกมุ่น ไม่พัวพัน มีปกติเห็นโทษ มีปัญญาเปลื้องตนออกบริโภค ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย มหาสุบิน ๕ ประการนี้ ปรากฏแก่ตถาคตอรหันตสัมมาสัมพุทธะ ก่อนแต่ตรัสรู้ ยังไม่ได้ตรัสรู้ ยังเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์อยู่ ฯ
