อิมํ ภิกฺขเว รตฺตึ อญฺญตรา เทวตา อภิกฺกนฺตาย
รตฺติยา อภิกฺกนฺตวณฺณา เกวลกปฺปํ เชตวนํ โอภาเสตฺวา เยนาหํ
เตนุปสงฺกมิ อุปสงฺกมิตฺวา มํ อภิวาเทตฺวา เอกมนฺตํ อฏฺฐาสิ
เอกมนฺตํ ฐิตา โข ภิกฺขเว สา เทวตา มํ เอตทโวจ🤖 AI จับคู่
“Imaṁ, bhikkhave, rattiṁ aññatarā devatā abhikkantāya rattiyā abhikkantavaṇṇā kevalakappaṁ jetavanaṁ obhāsetvā yenāhaṁ tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā maṁ abhivādetvā ekamantaṁ aṭṭhāsi. Ekamantaṁ ṭhitā kho, bhikkhave, sā devatā maṁ etadavoca:
“Tonight, a glorious deity, lighting up the entire Jeta’s Grove, came to me, bowed, stood to one side, and said to me:
ฉยิเม ภนฺเต
ธมฺมา ภิกฺขุโน อปริหานาย สํวตฺตนฺติ🤖 AI จับคู่
‘chayime, bhante, dhammā bhikkhuno aparihānāya saṁvattanti.
‘Sir, these six things don’t lead to the decline of a mendicant.

สตฺถุคารวตา
ธมฺมคารวตา สงฺฆคารวตา สิกฺขาคารวตา หิริคารวตา

Satthugāravatā, dhammagāravatā, saṅghagāravatā, sikkhāgāravatā, hirigāravatā, ottappagāravatā—
Respect for the Teacher, for the teaching, for the Saṅgha, for the training, for conscience, and for prudence.
อิเม โข ภนฺเต ฉ ธมฺมา ภิกฺขุโน อปริหานาย
สํวตฺตนฺตีติ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
ime kho, bhante, cha dhammā bhikkhuno aparihānāya saṁvattantī’ti.
These six things don’t lead to the decline of a mendicant.’
อิทมโวจ ภิกฺขเว สา เทวตา🤖 AI จับคู่
Idamavoca, bhikkhave, sā devatā.
That is what that deity said.
อิทํ วตฺวา มํ
อภิวาเทตฺวา ปทกฺขิณํ กตฺวา ตตฺเถวนฺตรธายีติ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
Idaṁ vatvā maṁ abhivādetvā padakkhiṇaṁ katvā tatthevantaradhāyīti.
Then he bowed and respectfully circled me, keeping me on his right side, before vanishing right there.
สตฺถุครุ ธมฺมครุ🤖 AI จับคู่
Satthugaru dhammagaru,
One respectful of the Teacher and the teaching,
สงฺเฆ จ ติพฺพคารโว🤖 AI จับคู่
saṅghe ca tibbagāravo;
keenly respecting the Saṅgha;
หิริโอตฺตปฺปสมฺปนฺโน🤖 AI จับคู่
Hiriottappasampanno,
endowed with conscience and prudence,
สปฺปติสฺโส สคารโว🤖 AI จับคู่
sappatisso sagāravo;
reverential and respectful—
อภพฺโพ ปริหานาย🤖 AI จับคู่
Abhabbo parihānāya,
it is impossible for them to decline;
นิพฺพานสฺเสว สนฺติเกติ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
nibbānasseva santike”ti.
they have drawn near to extinguishment.”
