[๑๘๕] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย เราจักแสดงธรรมที่ควรทำให้มาก และ
ธรรมที่ไม่ควรทำให้มาก แก่เธอทั้งหลาย เธอทั้งหลายจงฟัง จงใส่ใจให้ดี เรา
จักกล่าว ภิกษุเหล่านั้นทูลรับพระผู้มีพระภาคแล้ว พระผู้มีพระภาคได้ตรัสว่า
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรมที่ไม่ควรทำให้มากเป็นไฉน การฆ่าสัตว์ ฯลฯ ความ
เห็นผิด นี้เรียกว่าธรรมที่ไม่ควรทำให้มาก ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรมที่ควรทำให้
มากเป็นไฉน การเว้นจากการฆ่าสัตว์ ฯลฯ ความเห็นชอบ นี้เรียกว่าธรรมที่ควร
ทำให้มาก ฯ
พหุลีกาตพฺพญฺจ โว ภิกฺขเว ธมฺมํ เทสิสฺสามิ น
