“Sippesu vijjācaraṇesu kammesu,
“In professions, knowledge, conduct, and deeds,

Kathaṁ vijāneyyuṁ lahunti icchati;
he thought of how they might easily learn.
ยตูปฆาตาย น โหติ กสฺสจิ✎ ร่าง
Yadūpaghātāya na hoti kassaci,
Quickly, without tiresome delays,
วาเจติ ขิปฺปํ น จิรํ กิลิสฺสติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Vāceti khippaṁ na ciraṁ kilissati.
he taught them things that harm no-one at all.
ตํ กมฺมํ กตฺวา กุสลํ สุขุทฺรยํ

Taṁ kammaṁ katvā kusalaṁ sukhudrayaṁ,
Having done that skillful deed whose outcome is happiness,

Uddhaggalomā sukhumattacotthatā.

เอเณยฺยชงฺโฆติ ตมาหุ ปุคฺคลํ✎ ร่าง
Eṇeyyajaṅghoti tamāhu puggalaṁ,
They say that individual has antelope calves,
สมฺปตฺติยา ขิปฺปมิธาหุ ลกฺขณํ✎ ร่าง
Sampattiyā khippamidhāhu lakkhaṇaṁ;
and that this is the mark of swift success.
เอเกกโลมานิ ๕- ยทาภิกงฺขติ✎ ร่าง
Gehānulomāni yadābhikaṅkhati,
If he desires the things fitting the household life,
อปพฺพชํ ขิปฺปมิธาธิคจฺฉติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Apabbajaṁ khippamidhādhigacchati.
not going forth, they’ll quickly be his.
สเจ ว ๑- ปพฺพชฺชมุเปติ ตาทิโส✎ ร่าง
Sace ca pabbajjamupeti tādiso,
But if one such chooses the life gone forth,

Nekkhammachandābhirato vicakkhaṇo;
seeing clearly, loving renunciation,

Anucchavikassa yadānulomikaṁ,
the peerless renunciate will quickly find
ตํ วินฺทติ ขิปฺปมโนมนิกฺกโมติ ๓- ฯ✎ ร่าง
Taṁ vindati khippamanomavikkamo”ti.
