ยํปิ ภิกฺขเว ตถาคโต ปุริมํ ชาตึ ปุริมํ ภวํ ปุริมํ นิเกตํ
ปุพฺเพ มนุสฺสภูโต สมาโน✎ ร่าง
“Yampi, bhikkhave, tathāgato purimaṁ jātiṁ purimaṁ bhavaṁ purimaṁ niketaṁ pubbe manussabhūto samāno
“Mendicants, in some past lives the Realized One was reborn as a human being.

อกฺโกธโน อโหสิ อนุปายาสพหุโล✎ ร่าง
akkodhano ahosi anupāyāsabahulo,
He wasn’t irritable or bad-tempered.

Even when heavily criticized he didn’t lose his temper, become annoyed, hostile, and hard-hearted, or display annoyance, hate, and bitterness.
ทาตา จ อโหสิ สุขุมานํ มุทุกานํ อตฺถรณานํ ปาปุรณานํ ๑-
โขมสุขุมานํ กปฺปาสิกสุขุมานํ โกเสยฺยสุขุมานํ กมฺพลสุขุมานํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Dātā ca ahosi sukhumānaṁ mudukānaṁ attharaṇānaṁ pāvuraṇānaṁ khomasukhumānaṁ kappāsikasukhumānaṁ koseyyasukhumānaṁ kambalasukhumānaṁ.
He donated soft and delicate mats and blankets, and delicate cloths of linen, cotton, silk, and wool.

ตสฺส กมฺมสฺส กตตฺตา อุปจิตตฺตา ฯเปฯ✎ ร่าง
So tassa kammassa kaṭattā upacitattā …pe…
Due to performing those deeds he was reborn in a heavenly realm.
โส ตโต จุโต
อิตฺถตฺตํ อาคโต สมาโน อิมํ มหาปุริสลกฺขณํ ปฏิลภติ✎ ร่าง
so tato cuto itthattaṁ āgato samāno imaṁ mahāpurisalakkhaṇaṁ paṭilabhati.
When he came back to this place he obtained this mark:
สุวณฺณวณฺโณ โหติ กาญฺจนสนฺนิภตโจ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Suvaṇṇavaṇṇo hoti kañcanasannibhattaco.
he is golden colored; his skin shines like lustrous gold.
โส เตน ลกฺขเณน สมนฺนาคโต สเจ อคารํ อชฺฌาวสติ
ราชา โหติ จกฺกวตฺติ ฯเปฯ ราชา สมาโน กึ ลภติ✎ ร่าง
So tena lakkhaṇena samannāgato sace agāraṁ ajjhāvasati, rājā hoti cakkavattī …pe…
Possessing this mark, if he stays at home he becomes a wheel-turning monarch.
ลาภี โหติ สุขุมานํ
มุทุกานํ อตฺถรณานํ ปาปุรณานํ โขมสุขุมานํ กปฺปาสิกสุขุมานํ
โกเสยฺยสุขุมานํ กมฺพลสุขุมานํ✎ ร่าง
Lābhī hoti sukhumānaṁ mudukānaṁ attharaṇānaṁ pāvuraṇānaṁ khomasukhumānaṁ kappāsikasukhumānaṁ koseyyasukhumānaṁ kambalasukhumānaṁ.
He obtains soft and delicate mats and blankets, and delicate cloths of linen, cotton, silk, and wool.

Rājā samāno idaṁ labhati …pe…
That’s what he obtains as king.
พุทฺโธ สมาโน กึ ลภติ✎ ร่าง
buddho samāno kiṁ labhati?
And what does he obtain as Buddha?

Buddho samāno idaṁ labhati”.
That’s what he obtains as Buddha.”

Etamatthaṁ bhagavā avoca.
