[๘๑๕] ก็ข้อที่เรากล่าวดังนี้ว่า พึงทราบหมวดผัสสะ ๖ นั่น เราอาศัย
อะไรกล่าวแล้ว คือ บุคคลอาศัยจักษุและรูปเกิดจักษุวิญญาณ ความประจวบของ
ธรรมทั้ง ๓ เป็นผัสสะ อาศัยโสตะและเสียงเกิดโสตวิญญาณ ความประจวบของ
ธรรมทั้ง ๓ เป็นผัสสะ อาศัยฆานะและกลิ่นเกิดฆานวิญญาณ ความประจวบของ
ธรรมทั้ง ๓ เป็นผัสสะ อาศัยชิวหาและรสเกิดชิวหาวิญญาณ ความประจวบของ
ธรรมทั้ง ๓ เป็นผัสสะ อาศัยกายและโผฏฐัพพะเกิดกายวิญญาณ ความประจวบ
ของธรรมทั้ง ๓ เป็นผัสสะ อาศัยมโนและธรรมารมณ์เกิดมโนวิญญาณ ความ
ประจวบของธรรมทั้ง ๓ เป็นผัสสะ ข้อที่เรากล่าวดังนี้ว่า พึงทราบหมวดผัสสะ ๖
นั่น เราอาศัยผัสสะดังนี้ กล่าวแล้ว นี้ธรรมหมวดหก หมวดที่ ๔ ฯ
ฉ ผสฺสกายา เวทิตพฺพาติ✎ ร่าง
‘Cha phassakāyā veditabbā’ti—
‘The six classes of contact should be understood.’

อิติ โข ปเนตํ วุตฺตํ ฯ
กิญฺเจตํ ปฏิจฺจ สุตฺตํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
iti kho panetaṁ vuttaṁ. Kiñcetaṁ paṭicca vuttaṁ?
That’s what I said, but why did I say it?
จกฺขุญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ รูเป จ อุปฺปชฺชติ
จกฺขุวิญฺญาณํ ติณฺณํ สงฺคติ ผสฺโส ฯ✎ ร่าง
Cakkhuñca paṭicca rūpe ca uppajjati cakkhuviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso;
Eye consciousness arises dependent on the eye and sights. The meeting of the three is contact.
โสตญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ สทฺเท
จ อุปฺปชฺชติ โสตวิญฺญาณํ ติณฺณํ สงฺคติ ผสฺโส ฯ✎ ร่าง
sotañca paṭicca sadde ca uppajjati sotaviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso;
Ear consciousness arises dependent on the ear and sounds. The meeting of the three is contact.
ฆานญฺจ
ปฏิจฺจ คนฺเธ จ อุปฺปชฺชติ ฆานวิญฺญาณํ ติณฺณํ สงฺคติ
ผสฺโส ฯ✎ ร่าง
ghānañca paṭicca gandhe ca uppajjati ghānaviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso;
Nose consciousness arises dependent on the nose and smells. The meeting of the three is contact.
ชิวฺหญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ รเส จ อุปฺปชฺชติ ชิวฺหาวิญฺญาณํ
ติณฺณํ สงฺคติ ผสฺโส ฯ✎ ร่าง
jivhañca paṭicca rase ca uppajjati jivhāviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso;
Tongue consciousness arises dependent on the tongue and tastes. The meeting of the three is contact.
กายญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ โผฏฺฐพฺเพ จ อุปฺปชฺชติ
กายวิญฺญาณํ ติณฺณํ สงฺคติ ผสฺโส ฯ✎ ร่าง
kāyañca paṭicca phoṭṭhabbe ca uppajjati kāyaviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso;
Body consciousness arises dependent on the body and touches. The meeting of the three is contact.
มนญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ ธมฺเม
จ อุปฺปชฺชติ มโนวิญฺญาณํ ติณฺณํ สงฺคติ ผสฺโส ฯ✎ ร่าง
manañca paṭicca dhamme ca uppajjati manoviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso.
Mind consciousness arises dependent on the mind and ideas. The meeting of the three is contact.

ผสฺสกายา เวทิตพฺพาติ✎ ร่าง
‘Cha phassakāyā veditabbā’ti—
‘The six classes of contact should be understood.’
อิติ ยนฺตํ วุตฺตํ อิทเมตํ ปฏิจฺจ วุตฺตํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
iti yaṁ taṁ vuttaṁ, idametaṁ paṭicca vuttaṁ.
That’s what I said, and this is why I said it.
อิทํ จตุตฺถํ ฉกฺกํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Idaṁ catutthaṁ chakkaṁ.
This is the fourth set of six.
