That’s what I said, but why did I say it?
จกฺขุญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ รูเป จ อุปฺปชฺชติ
จกฺขุวิญฺญาณํ ติณฺณํ สงฺคติ ผสฺโส ผสฺสปจฺจยา เวทนา ฯ✎ ร่าง
Cakkhuñca paṭicca rūpe ca uppajjati cakkhuviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso, phassapaccayā vedanā;
Eye consciousness arises dependent on the eye and sights. The meeting of the three is contact. Contact is a requirement for feeling.
โสตญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ สทฺเท จ อุปฺปชฺชติ โสตวิญฺญาณํ✎ ร่าง
sotañca paṭicca sadde ca uppajjati sotaviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso, phassapaccayā vedanā;
Ear consciousness arises dependent on the ear and sounds. The meeting of the three is contact. Contact is a requirement for feeling.
ฆานญฺจ
ปฏิจฺจ คนฺเธ จ อุปฺปชฺชติ ฆานวิญฺญาณํ✎ ร่าง
ghānañca paṭicca gandhe ca uppajjati ghānaviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso, phassapaccayā vedanā;
Nose consciousness arises dependent on the nose and smells. The meeting of the three is contact. Contact is a requirement for feeling.
ชิวฺหญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ
รเส จ อุปฺปชฺชติ ชิวฺหาวิญฺญาณํ✎ ร่าง
jivhañca paṭicca rase ca uppajjati jivhāviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso, phassapaccayā vedanā;
Tongue consciousness arises dependent on the tongue and tastes. The meeting of the three is contact. Contact is a requirement for feeling.
กายญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ โผฏฺฐพฺเพ
จ อุปฺปชฺชติ กายวิญฺญาณํ✎ ร่าง
kāyañca paṭicca phoṭṭhabbe ca uppajjati kāyaviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso, phassapaccayā vedanā;

มนญฺจ ปฏิจฺจ ธมฺเม จ อุปฺปชฺชติ

manañca paṭicca dhamme ca uppajjati manoviññāṇaṁ, tiṇṇaṁ saṅgati phasso, phassapaccayā vedanā.
