[๓๑๔] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ฉันนั้นเหมือนกัน ความทุกข์ที่หมดไป สิ้น ไปนี้แหละ ของบุคคลผู้เป็นพระอริยสาวก สมบูรณ์ด้วยทิฐิ ตรัสรู้แล้ว เป็น ทุกข์มากกว่า ส่วนที่เหลืออยู่มีประมาณน้อย ความที่ทุกข์เป็นสภาพยิ่งใน ๗ อัตภาพ เมื่อเทียบเข้ากับกองทุกข์ที่หมดไป สิ้นไปอันมีในก่อน ไม่เข้าถึงเสี้ยว ที่ ๑๐๐ เสี้ยวที่ ๑,๐๐๐ เสี้ยวที่ ๑๐๐,๐๐๐ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย การตรัสรู้ธรรมให้ สำเร็จประโยชน์ใหญ่อย่างนี้แล การได้ธรรมจักษุให้สำเร็จประโยชน์ใหญ่อย่างนี้ ฯ

เอวเมว โข ภิกฺขเว อริยสาวกสฺส ทิฏฺฐิสมฺปนฺนสฺส ปุคฺคลสฺส อภิสเมตาวิโน เอตเทว พหุตรํ ทุกฺขํ ยทิทํ ปริกฺขีณํ ปริยาทินฺนํ อปฺปมตฺตกํ อวสิฏฺฐํ✎ ร่าง

“Evameva kho, bhikkhave, ariyasāvakassa diṭṭhisampannassa puggalassa abhisametāvino etadeva bahutaraṁ dukkhaṁ yadidaṁ parikkhīṇaṁ pariyādiṇṇaṁ; appamattakaṁ avasiṭṭhaṁ.

“In the same way, for an individual with comprehension, a noble disciple accomplished in view, the suffering that’s over and done with is more, what’s left is tiny.

เนว สติมํ กลํ อุเปติ น สหสฺสิมํ กลํ อุเปติ น สตสหสฺสิมํ กลํ อุเปติ ปุริมํ ทุกฺขกฺขนฺธํ ปริกฺขีณํ ปริยาทินฺนํ อุปนิธาย ยทิทํ สตฺตกฺขตฺตุปรมตา ฯ✎ ร่าง

Neva satimaṁ kalaṁ upeti na sahassimaṁ kalaṁ upeti na satasahassimaṁ kalaṁ upeti purimaṁ dukkhakkhandhaṁ parikkhīṇaṁ pariyādiṇṇaṁ upanidhāya, yadidaṁ sattakkhattuṁparamatā.

Compared to the mass of suffering in the past that’s over and done with, it’s not nearly a hundredth, a thousandth, or a hundred thousandth part, since there are at most seven more lives.

เอวํ มหตฺถิโย โข ภิกฺขเว ธมฺมาภิสมโย เอวํ มหตฺถิโย ธมฺมจกฺขุปฏิลาโภติ ฯ✎ ร่าง

Evaṁ mahatthiyo kho, bhikkhave, dhammābhisamayo; evaṁ mahatthiyo dhammacakkhupaṭilābho”ti.

That’s how very beneficial it is to comprehend the teaching and gain the vision of the teaching.”
