[๖๔๘] ฯลฯ ท่านพระมหาโมคคัลลานะได้ตอบว่า เมื่อผมลงมาจาก
ภูเขาคิชฌกูฏ ได้เห็นบุรุษมีขนเป็นเข็มลอยอยู่ในเวหาส เข็มเหล่านั้นของบุรุษนั้น
เข้าไปในศีรษะแล้วออกทางปาก เข้าไปในปากแล้วออกทางอก เข้าไปในอกแล้ว
ออกทางท้อง เข้าไปในท้องแล้วออกทางขาอ่อน เข้าไปในขาอ่อนแล้วออกทาง
แข้ง เข้าไปในแข้งแล้วออกทางเท้า ได้ยินว่า บุรุษนั้นส่งเสียงร้องครวญคราง ฯลฯ
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย สัตว์นี้เป็นคนส่อเสียดอยู่ในพระนครราชคฤห์นี้เอง ฯลฯ ฯ
อิธาหํ อาวุโส คิชฺฌกูฏา ปพฺพตา โอโรหนฺโต อทฺทสํ
สูจิโลมํ ปุริสํ เวหาสํ คจฺฉนฺตํ✎ ร่าง
“Idhāhaṁ, āvuso, gijjhakūṭā pabbatā orohanto addasaṁ sūcilomaṁ purisaṁ vehāsaṁ gacchantaṁ.
“Just now, reverend, as I was descending from Vulture’s Peak Mountain I saw a man whose body hairs were needles flying through the air.

ตสฺส ตา สูจิโย สีเส ปวิเสตฺวา ๒-
มุขโต นิกฺขมนฺติ✎ ร่าง
Tassa tā sūciyo sīse pavisitvā mukhato nikkhamanti;
The needles bored into his head and out his mouth,
มุเข ปวิเสตฺวา อุรโต นิกฺขมนฺติ✎ ร่าง
mukhe pavisitvā urato nikkhamanti;
into his mouth and out his chest,
อุเร ปวิเสตฺวา
อุทรโต นิกฺขมนฺติ✎ ร่าง
ure pavisitvā udarato nikkhamanti;
into his chest and out his belly,
อุทเร ปวิเสตฺวา อุรูหิ นิกฺขมนฺติ✎ ร่าง
udare pavisitvā ūrūhi nikkhamanti;
into his belly and out his thighs,
