[๓๐๘] พระนครสาวัตถี. ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย เราจักแสดงธรรมเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์
และสังโยชน์ เธอทั้งหลายจงฟัง. ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรมเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์เป็นไฉน
สังโยชน์เป็นไฉน? ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย รูป เวทนา สัญญา สังขาร วิญญาณ ชื่อว่า ธรรมเป็น
ที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์. ความกำหนัดด้วยอำนาจความพอใจในรูป เวทนา สัญญา สังขาร วิญญาณนั้น
ชื่อว่า สังโยชน์. ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย นี้เรียกว่า ธรรมเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์ นี้เรียกว่า สังโยชน์.

Katame ca, bhikkhave, saṁyojaniyā dhammā, katamaṁ saṁyojanaṁ?
What are the things that tighten the fetters? And what is the fetter?
รูปํ ภิกฺขเว สญฺโญชนิโย ธมฺโม✎ ร่าง
Rūpaṁ, bhikkhave, saṁyojaniyo dhammo;
Form is something that tightens the fetters.
โย ตตฺถ ฉนฺทราโค ตํ ตตฺถ สญฺโญชนํ✎ ร่าง
yo tattha chandarāgo, taṁ tattha saṁyojanaṁ.
The desire and greed for it is the fetter.
