[๓๖๘] พระนครสาวัตถี. ท่านพระราธะได้ทูลถามพระผู้มีพระภาคว่า ข้าแต่พระองค์
ผู้เจริญ ที่เรียกว่า กิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ ในภพ ดังนี้ กิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพเป็นไฉน?
ความดับกิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพเป็นไฉน?
พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสตอบว่า ดูกรราธะ ความพอใจ ความกำหนัด ความเพลิดเพลิน
ความทะยานอยาก ความเข้าถึง ความยึดมั่น อันเป็นที่ตั้งที่อยู่อาศัยแห่งจิต ในรูป.
นี้เรากล่าวว่า กิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ เพราะความดับสนิทแห่งกิเลสเหล่านั้น เรากล่าวว่า
เป็นธรรมที่ดับสนิทแห่งกิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ. ความพอใจ ความกำหนัด ความเพลิดเพลิน
ความทะยานอยาก ความเข้าถึง ความยึดมั่น อันเป็นที่ตั้งที่อยู่อาศัยแห่งจิต ในเวทนา ...
ในสัญญา ... ในสังขาร ... ในวิญญาณ. นี้เรากล่าวว่า กิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ เพราะความดับ-
*สนิทแห่งกิเลสเหล่านั้น เรากล่าวว่า เป็นธรรมเป็นที่ดับสนิทแห่งกิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:
Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:
ภวเนตฺติ ภวเนตฺตีติ ๒- ภนฺเต วุจฺจติ✎ ร่าง
“‘bhavanettinirodho, bhavanettinirodho’ti, bhante, vuccati.
“Sir, they speak of this thing called ‘the cessation of the leash to existence’.
กตมา
นุ โข ภนฺเต ภวเนตฺติ กตโม ภวเนตฺตินิโรโธติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Katamā nu kho, bhante, bhavanetti, katamo bhavanettinirodho”ti?
What is the leash to existence? And what is the cessation of the leash to existence?”

ราธ โย ฉนฺโท โย ราโค ยา นนฺทิ ยา ตณฺหา เย อุปายุปาทานา
เจตโส อธิฏฺฐานาภินิเวสานุสยา ฯ✎ ร่าง
“Rūpe kho, rādha, yo chando yo rāgo yā nandī yā taṇhā ye upayupādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā—
“Rādha, any desire, greed, relishing, and craving for form; and any attraction, grasping, mental fixation, insistence, and underlying tendencies—
อยํ วุจฺจติ ภวเนตฺติ
เตสํ นิโรธา ๓- ภวเนตฺตินิโรโธ ฯ เวทนาย โย ฉนฺโท ฯเปฯ

ayaṁ vuccati bhavanetti.
this is called the leash to existence.

this is called the leash to existence.

ภวเนตฺตินิโรโธติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Tesaṁ nirodho bhavanettinirodho”ti.
Their cessation is the cessation of the leash to existence.”
