[๕๓] ขันธ์ ๕ ชื่อว่าภาระแล และผู้แบกภาระคือบุคคล เครื่องถือมั่น ภาระเป็นเหตุนำมาซึ่งความทุกข์ในโลก การวางภาระเสียได้เป็นสุข บุคคลวางภาระหนักเสียได้แล้ว ไม่ถือภาระอื่น ถอนตัณหาพร้อม ทั้งมูลรากแล้ว เป็นผู้หายหิว ดับรอบแล้วดังนี้.

ภารา หเว ปญฺจกฺขนฺธา✎ ร่าง

“Bhārā have pañcakkhandhā,

“The five aggregates are indeed burdens,

ภารหาโร จ ปุคฺคโล✎ ร่าง

bhārahāro ca puggalo;

and the individual is the bearer of the burden.

sn22.22:6.3 #

ภาราทานํ ทุกฺขํ โลเก✎ ร่าง

Bhārādānaṁ dukhaṁ loke,

Taking up the burden is suffering in the world,

sn22.22:6.4 #

ภารนิกฺเขปนํ สุขํ✎ ร่าง

bhāranikkhepanaṁ sukhaṁ.

and putting the burden down is happiness.

sn22.22:7.1 #

นิกฺขิปิตฺวา ครุํ ภารํ✎ ร่าง

Nikkhipitvā garuṁ bhāraṁ,

When the heavy burden is put down

อญฺญํ ภารํ อนาทิย✎ ร่าง

aññaṁ bhāraṁ anādiya;

without taking up another,

Samūlaṁ taṇhamabbuyha,

one who has plucked out craving, root and all,

นิจฺฉาโต ปรินิพฺพุโตติ ฯ✎ ร่าง

nicchāto parinibbuto”ti.

is hungerless, quenched.”
