[๑๔๗๒] ดูกรอานนท์ ก็ธรรมปริยายชื่อธรรมาทาส ที่อริยสาวกประกอบแล้ว ... จะ ตรัสรู้ในเบื้องหน้านั้น เป็นไฉน? อริยสาวกในธรรมวินัยนี้ เป็นผู้ประกอบด้วยความเลื่อมใส อันไม่หวั่นไหวในพระพุทธเจ้า ... ในพระธรรม ... ในพระสงฆ์ ... ประกอบด้วยศีลที่พระอริยเจ้า ใคร่แล้ว ... เป็นไปเพื่อสมาธิ นี้แล คือ ธรรมปริยายชื่อธรรมาทาส ที่อริยสาวกประกอบแล้ว ... จะตรัสรู้ในเบื้องหน้า.

‘khīṇanirayomhi khīṇatiracchānayoni khīṇapettivisayo khīṇāpāyaduggativinipāto, sotāpannohamasmi avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo’?

อิธ อานนฺท อริยสาวโก พุทฺเธ อเวจฺจปฺปสาเทน สมนฺนาคโต โหติ อิติปิ โส ภควา ฯเปฯ สตฺถา เทวมนุสฺสานํ พุทฺโธ ภควาติ ฯ✎ ร่าง

Idha, ānanda, ariyasāvako buddhe aveccappasādena samannāgato hoti—itipi so bhagavā …pe… satthā devamanussānaṁ buddho bhagavāti.

It’s when a noble disciple has experiential confidence in the Buddha …

ariyakantehi sīlehi samannāgato hoti akhaṇḍehi …pe… samādhisaṁvattanikehi.

And they have the ethical conduct loved by the noble ones … leading to immersion.

อยํ โข โส อานนฺท ธมฺมาทาโส ธมฺมปริยาโย✎ ร่าง

Ayaṁ kho so, ānanda, dhammādāso dhammapariyāyo;

This is that mirror of the teaching.

เยน สมนฺนาคโต อริยสาวโก อากงฺขมาโน อตฺตนาว อตฺตานํ พฺยากเรยฺย✎ ร่าง

‘khīṇanirayomhi khīṇatiracchānayoni khīṇapettivisayo khīṇāpāyaduggativinipāto, sotāpannohamasmi avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo’”ti.

‘I’ve finished with rebirth in hell, the animal realm, and the ghost realm. I’ve finished with all places of loss, bad places, the underworld. I am a stream-enterer! I’m not liable to be reborn in the underworld, and am assured, destined for awakening.’”
