[๑๕๓๒] ดูกรมหาบพิตร ก็บุคคลบางคนในโลกนี้ ประกอบด้วยความเลื่อมใสอันไม่
หวั่นไหวในพระพุทธเจ้า ... ในพระธรรม ... ในพระสงฆ์ ... ไม่มีปัญญาร่าเริง ไม่เฉียบแหลม
และไม่ประกอบด้วยวิมุติ เพราะสังโยชน์ ๓ สิ้นไป (และ) เพราะราคะ โทสะ และโมหะ
เบาบาง เขาได้เป็นพระสกทาคามี มาสู่โลกนี้อีกคราวเดียวเท่านั้น จะกระทำที่สุดแห่งทุกข์ได้
บุคคลแม้นี้ก็พ้นจากนรก ... อบาย ทุคติ วินิบาต.

Idha pana, mahānāma, ekacco puggalo buddhe aveccappasādena samannāgato hoti—

na hāsapañño na javanapañño na ca vimuttiyā samannāgato.
But they don’t have laughing wisdom or swift wisdom, nor are they endowed with freedom.
โส ติณฺณํ สญฺโญชนานํ
ปริกฺขยา ราคโทสโมหานํ ตนุตฺตา สกทาคามี โหติ สกิเทว อิมํ
โลกํ อาคนฺตฺวา ทุกฺขสฺสนฺตํ กโรติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
So tiṇṇaṁ saṁyojanānaṁ parikkhayā rāgadosamohānaṁ tanuttā sakadāgāmī hoti, sakideva imaṁ lokaṁ āgantvā dukkhassantaṁ karoti.
With the ending of three fetters, and the weakening of greed, hate, and delusion, they’re a once-returner. They come back to this world once only, then make an end of suffering.
อยมฺปิ โข มหานาม ปุคฺคโล
ปริมุตฺโต นิรยา ปริมุตฺโต ติรจฺฉานโยนิยา ปริมุตฺโต ปิตฺติวิสยา
ปริมุตฺโต อปายทุคฺคติวินิปาตา ฯ✎ ร่าง
Ayampi kho, mahānāma, puggalo parimutto nirayā parimutto tiracchānayoniyā parimutto pettivisayā parimutto apāyaduggativinipātā.
This individual, too, is exempt from hell, the animal realm, and the ghost realm. They’re exempt from places of loss, bad places, the underworld.
