A mendicant has ultimate subtlety of form.
เตน จ
รูปโสขุมฺเมน อญฺญํ รูปโสขุมฺมํ อุตฺตริตรํ วา ปณีตตรํ วา น
สมนุปสฺสติ🤖 AI จับคู่
tena ca rūpasokhummena aññaṁ rūpasokhummaṁ uttaritaraṁ vā paṇītataraṁ vā na samanupassati;
They don’t see any other subtlety of form that’s better or finer than that,
เตน จ รูปโสขุมฺเมน อญฺญํ รูปโสขุมฺมํ อุตฺตริตรํ วา
ปณีตตรํ วา น ปตฺเถติ🤖 AI จับคู่
tena ca rūpasokhummena aññaṁ rūpasokhummaṁ uttaritaraṁ vā paṇītataraṁ vā na pattheti.
nor do they aim for it.

Vedanāsokhummena samannāgato hoti paramena;
A mendicant has ultimate subtlety of feeling.

tena ca vedanāsokhummena aññaṁ vedanāsokhummaṁ uttaritaraṁ vā paṇītataraṁ vā na samanupassati;
They don’t see any other subtlety of feeling that’s better or finer than that,

tena ca vedanāsokhummena aññaṁ vedanāsokhummaṁ uttaritaraṁ vā paṇītataraṁ vā na pattheti.
nor do they aim for it.
สญฺญาโสขุมฺเมน สมนฺนาคโต โหติ🤖 AI จับคู่
Saññāsokhummena samannāgato hoti paramena;
A mendicant has ultimate subtlety of perception.

They don’t see any other subtlety of perception that’s better or finer than that,

อิมานิ โข

Imāni kho, bhikkhave, cattāri sokhummānīti.
These are the four kinds of subtlety.
รูปโสขุมฺมตํ ญตฺวา🤖 AI จับคู่
Rūpasokhummataṁ ñatvā,
Knowing the subtlety of form,

vedanānañca sambhavaṁ;
the cause of feelings,
สญฺญา ยโต สมุเทติ🤖 AI จับคู่
Saññā yato samudeti,
where perception comes from,
อตฺถํ คจฺฉติ ยตฺถ จ🤖 AI จับคู่
atthaṁ gacchati yattha ca;
and where it ends;
สงฺขาเร ปรโต ญตฺวา🤖 AI จับคู่
Saṅkhāre parato ñatvā,
and knowing choices as alien,
ทุกฺขโต โน จ อตฺตโต🤖 AI จับคู่
dukkhato no ca attato.
as suffering and as not-self,
ส เว สมฺมทฺทโส ภิกฺขุ🤖 AI จับคู่
Sa ve sammaddaso bhikkhu,
that mendicant sees rightly,
สนฺโต สนฺติปเท รโต🤖 AI จับคู่
santo santipade rato;
peaceful, in love with the state of peace.
ธาเรติ อนฺติมํ เทหํ🤖 AI จับคู่
Dhāreti antimaṁ dehaṁ,
They bear their final body,
เชตฺวา มารํ สวาหนนฺติ ฯ🤖 AI จับคู่
jetvā māraṁ savāhinin”ti.
having vanquished Māra with his legions.”
