[๓๔] ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๗ ประการควรเสพ ควรคบเป็นมิตร ควรเข้าไปนั่งใกล้ แม้ถูกขับไล่ ธรรม ๗ ประการเป็นไฉน คือ ภิกษุเป็นที่รักใคร่พอใจ ๑ เป็นที่เคารพ ๑ เป็นผู้ควรสรรเสริญ ๑ เป็นผู้ฉลาด พูด ๑ เป็นผู้อดทนต่อถ้อยคำ ๑ พูดถ้อยคำลึกซึ้ง ๑ ไม่ชักนำในทางที่ไม่ดี ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๗ ประการนี้แล ควรเสพ ควรคบ เป็นมิตร ควรเข้าไปนั่งใกล้ แม้ถูกขับไล่ ฯ ภิกษุเป็นที่รักใคร่ พอใจ เป็นที่เคารพ ควรสรรเสริญ ฉลาดพูด อดทนต่อถ้อยคำ พูดถ้อยคำลึกซึ้ง ไม่ชักนำ ในทางที่ไม่ดี ฐานะเหล่านี้มีอยู่ในภิกษุใด ภิกษุนั้นเป็น มิตรแท้ มุ่งอนุเคราะห์แต่สิ่งที่เป็นประโยชน์ ผู้ประสงค์ จะคบมิตร ควรคบมิตรเช่นนั้น แม้จะถูกขับไล่ ฯ

Respect for the Teacher, for the teaching, for the Saṅgha, for the training, for immersion; being easy to admonish, and good friendship.

Ime kho, bhante, satta dhammā bhikkhuno aparihānāya saṁvattantī’ti.

These seven things don’t lead to the decline of a mendicant.’

Then he bowed and respectfully circled me, keeping me on his right side, before vanishing right there.
