Yesaṁ sannicayo natthi,
Those with nothing stored up,

ye pariññātabhojanā;
who have understood their food,
สุญฺญโต อนิมิตฺโต จ✎ ร่าง
Suññato animitto ca,
whose domain is the liberation
วิโมกฺโข เยส โคจโร✎ ร่าง
vimokkho yesaṁ gocaro;
of the signless and the empty:
อากาเสว สกุนฺตานํ✎ ร่าง
Ākāseva sakuntānaṁ,
their path is hard to trace,
คติ เตสํ ทุรนฺนยา ฯ✎ ร่าง
gati tesaṁ durannayā.
like birds in the sky.
ยสฺสาสวา ปริกฺขีณา✎ ร่าง
Yassāsavā parikkhīṇā,
One whose defilements have ended;
อาหาเร จ อนิสฺสิโต✎ ร่าง
āhāre ca anissito;
who’s not attached to food;
สุญฺญโต อนิมิตฺโต จ✎ ร่าง
Suññato animitto ca,
whose domain is the liberation
วิโมกฺโข ยสฺส โคจโร✎ ร่าง

like horses tamed by a charioteer,
ปหีนมานสฺส อนาสวสฺส✎ ร่าง
Pahīnamānassa anāsavassa,
who has abandoned conceit and defilements;
เทวาปิ ตสฺส ปิหยนฺติ ตาทิโน ฯ✎ ร่าง
Devāpi tassa pihayanti tādino.
the unaffected one is envied by even the gods.

สโม โน วิรุชฺฌติ✎ ร่าง
Pathavisamo no virujjhati,
Undisturbed like the earth,
อินฺทขีลูปโม ตาทิ สุพฺพโต✎ ร่าง
Indakhilupamo tādi subbato;
true to their vows, steady as Indra’s pillar,
รหโทว อเปตกทฺทโม✎ ร่าง
Rahadova apetakaddamo,
like a lake clear of mud;
สํสารา น ภวนฺติ ตาทิโน ฯ✎ ร่าง
Saṁsārā na bhavanti tādino.
such a one does not transmigrate.

สนฺตํ ตสฺส มนํ โหติ✎ ร่าง
Santaṁ tassa manaṁ hoti,
Their mind is peaceful,

Such a one is at peace,
อุปสนฺตสฺส ตาทิโน ฯ✎ ร่าง
upasantassa tādino.
rightly freed through enlightenment.
อสฺสทฺโธ อกตญฺญู จ✎ ร่าง
Assaddho akataññū ca,
Lacking faith, a house-breaker,
สนฺธิจฺเฉโท จ โย นโร✎ ร่าง
sandhicchedo ca yo naro;
one who acknowledges nothing,
หตาวกาโส วนฺตาโส✎ ร่าง
Hatāvakāso vantāso,
purged of hope, they’ve wasted their chance:
ส เว อุตฺตมโปริโส ฯ✎ ร่าง
sa ve uttamaporiso.
that is indeed the supreme person!

Whether in village or wilderness,

in a valley or the uplands,

Yattha arahanto viharanti,
wherever the perfected ones live
ตํ ภูมิรามเณยฺยกํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Taṁ bhūmirāmaṇeyyakaṁ.
is a delightful place.
รมณียานิ อรญฺญานิ✎ ร่าง
Ramaṇīyāni araññāni,
Delightful are the wildernesses
ยตฺถ น รมตี ชโน✎ ร่าง
yattha na ramatī jano;
where no people delight.
วีตราคา รเมสฺสนฺติ✎ ร่าง
Vītarāgā ramissanti,
Those free of greed will delight there,
น เต กามคเวสิโน ฯ✎ ร่าง
na te kāmagavesino.
not those who seek sensual pleasures.
อรหนฺตวคฺโค สตฺตโม ฯ✎ ร่าง
Arahantavaggo sattamo.
