วุตฺตํ เหตํ ภควตา วุตฺตมรหตาติ เม สุตํ✎ ร่าง
Vuttañhetaṁ bhagavatā vuttamarahatāti me sutaṁ:
This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.

ตีณีมานิ
ภิกฺขเว จกฺขูนิ✎ ร่าง
“Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, cakkhūni.
“Mendicants, there are these three eyes.
กตมานิ ตีณิ✎ ร่าง
Katamāni tīṇi?
What three?
มํสจกฺขุ ทิพฺพจกฺขุ ปญฺญาจกฺขุ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Maṁsacakkhu, dibbacakkhu, paññācakkhu—
The eye of the flesh, the eye of clairvoyance, and the eye of wisdom.
อิมานิ โข ภิกฺขเว ตีณิ จกฺขูนีติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi cakkhūnī”ti.
These are the three eyes.”
เอตมตฺถํ ภควา อโวจ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Etamatthaṁ bhagavā avoca.
The Buddha spoke this matter.
ตตฺเถตํ
อิติ วุจฺจติ✎ ร่าง
Tatthetaṁ iti vuccati:
On this it is said:
มํสจกฺขุ ๒- ทิพฺพจกฺขุ✎ ร่าง
“Maṁsacakkhu dibbacakkhu,
“The eye of flesh, the clairvoyant eye,
ปญฺญาจกฺขุ อนุตฺตรํ✎ ร่าง
paññācakkhu anuttaraṁ;
the supreme eye of wisdom:
เอตานิ ตีณิ จกฺขูนิ✎ ร่าง
Etāni tīṇi cakkhūni,
these three eyes
อกฺขาสิ ปุริสุตฺตโม✎ ร่าง
akkhāsi purisuttamo.
were taught by the supreme person.
มํสจกฺขุสฺส อุปฺปาโท✎ ร่าง
Maṁsacakkhussa uppādo,
The arising of the eye of flesh

มคฺโค ทิพฺพสฺส จกฺขุโน✎ ร่าง
maggo dibbassa cakkhuno;
is the path to the clairvoyant eye.
ยโต ญาณํ อุทปาทิ✎ ร่าง
Yato ñāṇaṁ udapādi,
When knowledge arises—
ปญฺญาจกฺขุ อนุตฺตรํ✎ ร่าง
paññācakkhu anuttaraṁ;
the supreme eye of wisdom—
ยสฺส จกฺขุสฺส ปฏิลาภา✎ ร่าง
Yassa cakkhussa paṭilābhā,
one who gains that eye
สพฺพทุกฺขา วิมุจฺจตีติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
sabbadukkhā pamuccatī”ti.
is released from all suffering.”
อยมฺปิ อตฺโถ วุตฺโต ภควตา อิติ เม สุตนฺติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti.
This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
