[๒๔๒] จริงอยู่ พระสูตรนี้พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสแล้ว พระสูตรนี้พระผู้มี
พระภาคผู้เป็นพระอรหันต์ตรัสแล้ว เพราะเหตุนั้น ข้าพเจ้าได้สดับมาแล้วว่า
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ทุจริต ๓ อย่างนี้ ๓ อย่างเป็นไฉน คือ กายทุจริต ๑
วจีทุจริต ๑ มโนทุจริต ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ทุจริต ๓ อย่างนี้แล ฯ
พระผู้มีพระภาคได้ตรัสเนื้อความนี้แล้ว ในพระสูตรนั้น พระผู้มีพระภาค
ตรัสคาถาประพันธ์ดังนี้ว่า
บุคคลผู้มีปัญญาทราม กระทำกายทุจริต วจีทุจริต มโนทุจริต
และกระทำอกุศลกรรมอย่างอื่นอันประกอบด้วยโทษ ไม่
กระทำกุศลกรรม กระทำอกุศลกรรมเป็นอันมาก เมื่อตายไป
ย่อมเข้าถึงนรก ฯ
เนื้อความแม้นี้พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสแล้ว เพราะเหตุนั้น ข้าพเจ้าได้สดับมาแล้ว
ฉะนี้แล ฯ

Duccaritasutta
Bad Conduct
วุตฺตํ เหตํ ภควตา วุตฺตมรหตาติ เม สุตํ✎ ร่าง
Vuttañhetaṁ bhagavatā vuttamarahatāti me sutaṁ:
This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard.
ตีณีมานิ
ภิกฺขเว ทุจฺจริตานิ✎ ร่าง
“Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, duccaritāni.
“Mendicants, there are these three kinds of bad conduct.
กตมานิ ตีณิ✎ ร่าง
Katamāni tīṇi?
What three?
กายทุจฺจริตํ วจีทุจฺจริตํ
มโนทุจฺจริตํ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Kāyaduccaritaṁ, vacīduccaritaṁ, manoduccaritaṁ—
Bad conduct by way of body, speech, and mind.
อิมานิ โข ภิกฺขเว ตีณิ ทุจฺจริตานีติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi duccaritānī”ti.
These are the three kinds of bad conduct.”
เอตมตฺถํ
ภควา อโวจ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Etamatthaṁ bhagavā avoca.
The Buddha spoke this matter.
ตตฺเถตํ อิติ วุจฺจติ✎ ร่าง
Tatthetaṁ iti vuccati:
On this it is said:
กายทุจฺจริตํ กตฺวา✎ ร่าง
“Kāyaduccaritaṁ katvā,
“Having done bad things

วจีทุจฺจริตานิ จ✎ ร่าง
vacīduccaritāni ca;
by way of body,
มโนทุจฺจริตํ กตฺวา✎ ร่าง
Manoduccaritaṁ katvā,
speech, and mind,
ยญฺจญฺญํ โทสสญฺหิตํ✎ ร่าง
yañcaññaṁ dosasaṁhitaṁ.
and whatever else is corrupt;
อกตฺวา กุสลํ กมฺมํ✎ ร่าง
Akatvā kusalaṁ kammaṁ,
not having done good deeds,

กตฺวานากุสลํ พหุํ✎ ร่าง
katvānākusalaṁ bahuṁ;
and having done many bad,
กายสฺส เภทา ทุปฺปญฺโญ✎ ร่าง
Kāyassa bhedā duppañño,
when their body breaks up, that witless person
นิรยํ โส อุปปชฺชตีติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
nirayaṁ sopapajjatī”ti.
is reborn in hell.”
อยมฺปิ อตฺโถ วุตฺโต ภควตา อิติ เม สุตนฺติ ฯ✎ ร่าง
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti.
This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.
