[๓๔๐] พระพุทธเจ้าเสด็จมาสู่แม่น้ำเนรัญชรา เพื่อประโยชน์แก่เราหนอ เพราะเราได้ฟังธรรมของพระองค์แล้ว ละมิจฉาทิฏฐิได้ เมื่อเราเป็น ปุถุชนยังมืดมนอยู่ สำคัญว่า การบูชายัญนี้เป็นความบริสุทธิ์ จึงได้ บูชายัญสูงๆ ต่ำๆ และได้บูชาไฟ แล่นไปสู่การถือทิฏฐิ ลุ่มหลง ไปด้วยการเชื่อถือ เป็นคนตาบอดไม่รู้แจ้ง สำคัญความไม่บริสุทธิ์ว่าเป็น ความบริสุทธิ์ บัดนี้ เราละมิจฉาทิฏฐิได้แล้ว ทำลายภพทั้งปวงหมดแล้ว เราบูชาไฟ คือ พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าผู้เป็นทักขิไณยบุคคล เราขอ นมัสการพระตถาคต ความลุ่มหลงทั้งปวงเราละหมดแล้ว ตัณหาอันจะ นำไปสู่ภพเราทำลายแล้ว ชาติสงสารสิ้นแล้ว บัดนี้ ภพใหม่มิได้มี.

I was a blind, ordinary person.

Diṭṭhigahanapakkhando,

Caught in the thicket of wrong view,

ปรามาเสน โมหิโต✎ ร่าง

parāmāsena mohito;

deluded by misapprehension.

อสุทฺธึ มญฺญิสํ สุทฺธึ✎ ร่าง

Asuddhiṁ maññisaṁ suddhiṁ,

Thinking impurity was purity,

andhabhūto aviddasu.

I was blind and ignorant.

มิจฺฉาทิฏฺฐิ ปหีนา เม✎ ร่าง

Micchādiṭṭhi pahīnā me,

I’ve abandoned wrong view;

ภวา สพฺเพ ปทาลิตา✎ ร่าง

bhavā sabbe padālitā;

all rebirths are shattered.

ชุหามิ ทกฺขิเณยฺยคฺคึ✎ ร่าง

Juhāmi dakkhiṇeyyaggiṁ,

I serve the fire for those worthy of a religious donation:

นมสฺสามิ ตถาคตํ ฯ✎ ร่าง

namassāmi tathāgataṁ.

I bow to the Realized One.

โมหา สพฺเพ ปหีนา เม✎ ร่าง

Mohā sabbe pahīnā me,

I’ve given up all delusion;

ภวตณฺหา ปทาลิตา✎ ร่าง

bhavataṇhā padālitā;

craving for continued existence is shattered;

thag5.6:5.3 #

วิกฺขีโณ ชาติสํสาโร✎ ร่าง

Vikkhīṇo jātisaṁsāro,

transmigration through births is finished;

thag5.6:5.4 #

นตฺถิทานิ ปุนพฺภโวติ ฯ✎ ร่าง

natthi dāni punabbhavo”ti.

now there’ll be no more future lives.
