[๔๒๓] กาสีชนบทมีประมาณเท่าใด ส่วนของเราได้มีแล้วประมาณเท่านั้น ชาวนิคมกำหนดราคา แคว้นกาสีไว้แล้ว ตั้งราคาเราไว้ครึ่งราคาแคว้นกาสี ภายหลังเราเบื่อหน่ายในรูป เบื่อหน่ายจึงคลายกำหนัด ไม่พึงแล่นไปสู่ ชาติสงสารอีกบ่อยๆ วิชชา ๓ เราทำให้แจ้งแล้ว คำสั่งสอนของ พระพุทธเจ้าเราก็ทำเสร็จแล้ว.

Taṁ katvā negamo agghaṁ,

By setting that price,

อคฺเฆนคฺฆํ ฐเปสิ มํ ฯ✎ ร่าง

aḍḍhenagghaṁ ṭhapesi maṁ.

the townsfolk made me priceless.

อถ นิพฺพินฺทหํ รูเป✎ ร่าง

Atha nibbindahaṁ rūpe,

Then, growing disillusioned with my form,

นิพฺพินฺทญฺจ วิรชฺชหํ✎ ร่าง

nibbindañca virajjahaṁ;

I became dispassionate.

มา ปุน ชาติสํสารํ✎ ร่าง

Mā puna jātisaṁsāraṁ,

Don’t journey on and on,

สนฺธาเวยฺยํ ปุนปฺปุนํ✎ ร่าง

sandhāveyyaṁ punappunaṁ;

transmigrating through rebirths!

ติสฺโส วิชฺชา สจฺฉิกตา✎ ร่าง

Tisso vijjā sacchikatā,

I’ve realized the three knowledges,

กตํ พุทฺธสฺส สาสนํ ฯ✎ ร่าง

kataṁ buddhassa sāsanan”ti.

and fulfilled the Buddha’s instructions.
