[๔๔๔] เราออกบวชเป็นบรรพชิตด้วยศรัทธา แต่เป็นผู้ขวนขวายในลาภสัก- การะ ประพฤติพรหมจรรย์ด้วยการมุ่งลาภ เป็นเหตุละประโยชน์อันเยี่ยม แล้ว ถือเอาประโยชน์อันเลว เราตกอยู่ในอำนาจของกิเลส ไม่ยินดี ประโยชน์ของความเป็นสมณะ เมื่อเรานั่งในที่อยู่ ได้เกิดความสังเวช ว่า เราเป็นผู้เดินทางผิดเสียแล้ว จึงตกอยู่ในอำนาจของตัณหา ชีวิต ของเราเป็นของน้อย ถูกชราและพยาธิย่ำยีอยู่เป็นนิตย์ กายนี้ย่อมทำลาย ไปก่อน เวลานี้เราไม่ควรประมาท เมื่อเราพิจารณาเห็นความเกิดขึ้น และความเสื่อมไปของขันธ์ทั้งหลาย ตามความเป็นจริง จึงมีจิตหลุดพ้น จากภพ ๓ คำสั่งสอนของพระพุทธเจ้าเราทำเสร็จแล้ว.

My life is short,

trampled by old age and sickness.

Before this body breaks apart,

na me kālo pamajjituṁ.

there is no time for me to be careless.”

I examined in line with the truth

the rise and fall of the aggregates.

วิมุตฺตจิตฺตา อุฏฺฐาสึ✎ ร่าง

Vimuttacittā uṭṭhāsiṁ,

I stood up with mind liberated,

กตํ พุทฺธสฺส สาสนํ ฯ✎ ร่าง

kataṁ buddhassa sāsanan”ti.

having fulfilled the Buddha’s instructions.
